Nepal Highlight Tour is a 7-day trip, you'll get the chance to visit the diverse culture, architecture, traditions, and landscapes. Starting our journey with visiting the typical Newari village settlement situated on the hilltop of Bandipur. Here you can study the ancient Newari architecture and its culture along with the splendid view of the Himalayas. When visiting Nepal, one must visit the tourist capital of Nepal, Pokhara. Pokhara is a beautiful valley, known as a gateway to the Annapurna Conservation Area, famous for its lakes and panoramic view of Annapurna massifs and Fishtail Mountain. Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, is also one of our destinations during this trip. Here, you can visit the SCARED GARDEN with Maya Devi temple depicting the birth of Lord Buddha and experience the peace and tranquility. Our next and final destination is the first National Park of Nepal, Chitwan National Park, which is also listed in the UNESCO World Heritage site. Overall, the trip is an amazing and bountiful experience for all. Nepal is a beautiful country where there is a presence of the richest and most diverse cultures and traditions, architecture, costumes, language and multiethnic people living with social harmony in different nooks and corners. |
Day 1 Pokhara/Kalikasthan - Yangjakot trek (1440m)
Namaste! Welcome to Nepal. Meet your trek leader at the Pokhara office at 9.00AM ready to embark on a scenic drive to the outlying village of Kalikasthan. Enter a world of friendly villagers, terraced fields, alpine meadows and rhododendron forest set before a back-drop of snow-clad peaks. Begin with a walk down to the Modi river (2hrs approx). Along the way pass through delightful little villages and enjoy mesmerizing vistas of the Lamjung Himal and Annapurna II mountains. Cross over a long suspension bridge in the Modi Valley, pass through a densely shaded Sal forest, and ascend steeply to the village of Chachowk. Continue on to the village of Yangjakot where we spend the night in a homestay (3hrs approx.) (1440m). Trek Distance: 10 km Approximate Duration: 5 hours Ascent: 800 m Descent: 530 m
Day 2 Yangjakot - Tanting trek (1580m)
This morning take a gradually descending track down to the Modi Valley (1.5hr approx). Cross the river and follow the path on the western flank of the river to the village of Chasu (1.5hr approx). A long flight of steep but well-laid stone steps tests your fitness and takes you past verdant terraced fields to Tanting (2hrs approx). This Gurung village is typical of the raw beauty of traditional Nepalese hillside villages. We spend the night in a homestay (1580m). Trek Distance: 14 km Approximate Duration: 6 hours Ascent: 1150 m Descent: 950 m
Day 3 Tanting - Siklis trek (1980m)
This morning take the gradual descending track down to the river (1.5hr approx). After crossing, head to uphill to Siklis, where we stop for the day ( 2.5 hr approx) (1980m). You'll be hard pressed to find a more delightful place to spend your day than Siklis, a village with welcoming inhabitants, picturesque terraced fields, alpine meadows and views of the giants of the Annapurnas section of the Himalayas: Annapurna IV (7,525m), Annapurna II (7,937m) and the monolithic hulk of Lamjung Himal. There are many activities with which to fill your time in this village. You can hike to viewpoints, explore the surrounding villages, and soak up the rhythm of local life. You can also help your host with the daily chores, perhaps getting your hands dirty in the farms! Trek Distance: 6 km Approximate Duration: 4 hours Ascent: 725 m Descent: 420 m
Day 4 Siklis to Ghale Gaun trek (1620m)
After a tranquil day in Siklis, set out on the longest section of your trek. Leave the village and enter deep woods trekking westwards with snow-capped peaks to your right. Make a steep climb up to a grassy wooded knoll known as Tara Top (4hrs approx) (2800m). This is the vantage-point for a spectacular 360-degree view that encompasses most of the Annapurna massif. Clear skies will allow for unforgettable memories of this majestic panorama. Descend through shady forests of rhododendron hung heavy with lichen and moss, with wild flowers on the sunnier banks and wild orchids attached to the branches above us, before arriving at Ghale Gaun (approx 3hrs), our stop for the night (1620m). Trek Distance: 13 km Approximate Duration: 8 hours Ascent: 910 m Descent: 1220 m
Day 5 Ghale Gaun to Bhurjung Khola trek/Pokhara
Head down to Bhurjung Khola, a tributary of the Seti River, following it south until you reach the road-head (2hrs approx) where your transport awaits to return you to Pokhara (1.5hr drive). Our trip finishes in Pokhara this afternoon around 1pm. Extra accommodation or a transfer back to Kathmandu are available. If you wish to leave today, you will need to book a flight as buses to Kathmandu all leave before 1pm. Please speak to your agent when booking.
Day 1: Kathmandu to Bandipur with Rafting, Driving Duration: 5 hours
We leave Kathmandu in the early morning at 7: am. After 3 hours’ drive, you will stop at the Trishuli Rafting start point. Enjoy your first adventure, Rafting. Trishuli River is one of the famous raft able rivers in Nepal. You will have lunch after finishing the rafting. Now you will be ready for heading towards Bandipur. After a drive of 2 to 3 hours, you will check in to the hotel at Bandipur. You will have time to rest or roam at the local market.

Day 2: Bandipur to Pokhara, Driving Duration: 2/3 Hours
In the early morning, you can hike to Gurungche Hill to enjoy the sunrise. Later, return to the hotel and have breakfast. Afterwards, you will start your sightseeing tour starting a visit to the Khadga Devi Temple, the most sacred and auspicious temple in Bandipur. Then head up to the Martyrs Memorial Area, which honors seven Bandipur sons who were killed during the anti-Rana insurrection of 1951.
Then head down to the shrine of Paarpani Mahadev (Shiva), who receives appeals for rain from Bandipurays during dry spells. Return to the bazaar along the main trail, and visit the two other important temples of Bandipur: Bindabashini and Mahalaxmi. Then, you will return to the hotel and head for Pokhara which will take around 2 to 3 hours' drive. Upon arrival at the hotel in Pokhara, you will freshen up and roam around the beautiful Pokhara city.

Day 3: Sightseeing in Pokhara
Today, you will start with an early drive to Sarangkot to capture the tranquil and magical view of the city before sunrise and also to view the first rays of sunlight hitting the mountains in the background. Sarangkot offers panoramic views of the Annapurna, Fishtail, Dhaulagiri and other mountains. After spending some time in Sarangkot, you will drive back to Pokhara, where a whole day of sightseeing awaits us; Mahendra Cave, Bat cave, Davis falls, Gupteshwor Mahadev, etc.

Day 4: Pokhara to Lumbini via Palpa, Driving Duration: 6/7 hours
Today, you will start driving to reach Lumbini via Palpa. The road is smooth so relax and enjoy the ride. On the way, we will make a quick stop at Tansen bazaar. Tansen bazaar is an ancient marketplace and offers you a wide range of products. Afterwards, you will leave Palpa and head towards the birthplace of Lord Buddha, Lumbini. When you reach Lumbini, you will check-in at the hotel. Now, the remaining time is for rest. You can explore the surroundings on your style.

Day 5: Sightseeing in Lumbini & Drive to Chitwan, Driving Duration: 4/5 hours
After breakfast, your half-day sightseeing to Lumbini begins. You will visit SCARED GARDEN with Maya Devi temple depicting the birth of Lord Buddha, the Ashoka pillar pinpointing the place of birth of the Buddha and the Sakyan Tank where Maya Devi, the mother of the Buddha is supposed to have taken a dip before bringing forth the baby.
All around this holy site there are remnants of monasteries and chaityas built over the centuries following the Buddha's birth in 623 B.C. After finishing sightseeing, you will continue the journey to Chitwan. You will reach Chitwan in the early evening and check-in to the hotel.

Day 6: Chitwan- Jungle Safari
Today, after breakfast, the full day safari activities in the jungle of Chitwan begin. We start our adventure with a jeep safari inside the jungle. You will enter the community forest section to view the One-Horned Rhino and some other wild animals like wild boar, deer, Leopard and others and after that you will cross the Rapti river to get into the skirt of main national park area and if it's your lucky day then you will get to see the Royal Bengal Tiger in the highland area where the bushes are high as 5-6 feet, along with that you will be able to see the wild elephants and other wild animals as well.
After completing your jungle safari tour get back to the hotel and have your lunch and later on you can go for a guided tour around the Tharu village and then go for Canoeing on the Rapti river where you can observe the Marsh Mugger and Gharial crocodiles resting by the side of Rapti river in Chitwan and after completing your sight seen tour get back to hotel and have rest.

Day 7: Birdwatching in Chitwan & Drive to Kathmandu, Driving Duration: 5/6 hours
Today, you will wake up early in the morning and leave the hotel for Bird Watching. Early morning walk through the bush and along the bank of Rapti River offers the opportunity to view many of the exotic birds, including the Giant Hornbill, Lesser Florican, and Paradise Flycatcher. This apart enjoys the movement of the migratory birds in the BishHajar Taal.
After Bird Watching, you will have your breakfast and checkout from the hotel. The Vehicle will be ready to transfer you back to Kathmandu. Once you reach Kathmandu, your trip completes.
