Day 1: Sunday – Dublin to Belfast

Titanic Experience Belfast on your Wild West and North Tour of Ireland

We begin the first day of your adventure with a visit to the magical stone age passage tomb at Newgrange which is richly decorated by megalithic art. After exploring this Neolithic structure we will travel north to Belfast.

Next up this afternoon is the full Titanic experience at Titanic Belfast. This splendid interactive visitor centre was voted the world’s leading tourist attraction in 2016. Prepare to be moved by the wonderful stories told about the world’s most famous ship.

We will finish the day with an enthralling black cab tour of Belfast. This tour is optional but highly recommended. Alternatively, if you just need to take a breath and chill, you can spend some time exploring the city’s coolest pubs, shops and restaurants.

Day 2: Monday – The Giant’s Causeway to Derry

Today will be both a test of mental strength and a celebration for your soul. The Giant’s Causeway is one of the most anticipated features of this tour and it never disappoints. The Causeway Coastal Route is breath-taking and while crossing Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge you will feel the exhilaration of the air beneath your feet while the anticipation builds.

Game of Thrones fans will have officially landed in their spiritual home as we take a sneak peak of one of its most famous filming locations, The Dark Hedges.

Our next stop is Londonderry, Northern Ireland’s second largest city, steeped in rich history. Explore the city by night and look forward to a tour of the walled city on day 3.

Day 3: Tuesday – Derry to the Hills of Donegal

Londonderry on your Wild West and North Tour of Ireland

Before leaving Derry, let our friends take you on a walking tour of the city. Understand the struggles of our past and the long road to current peaceful times in the North.

Now it is time to venture into the wild northwest – The hills of Donegal. We continue our exploration of Northern Ireland and embark on a magnificent drive over the Glengesh Pass, on to Maghera Beach and by Assaranca Waterfall.

One of our highlights today will be the stunning views and a walk along one of the highest cliffs in Europe – Slieve League which stands over 600m above the Wild Atlantic Ocean. Our accommodation tonight is in the picturesque village of Ardara, County Donegal.

Day 4: Wednesday – Westport to Connemara

Today’s road trip will take you through William Butler Yeat’s County – Sligo and down towards Ireland’s favourite town – Westport!

Our time in Westport begins with a wonderful walking tour of the town and a fabulous lunch to set yourself up for an unforgettable journey through Connemara National Park and the famous Famine Trail.

We will arrive at Kylemore Abbey in the heart of Connemara in the afternoon. You will have time to roam the abbey and Victorian Walled Garden on this 1000 acre estate overlooking Kylemore Lake and the majestic Connemara National Park.

Stay in Clifden and discover some great bars, restaurants and nightly music and have a chat with the locals over a pint of the Black Stuff!

This year we have added the option of staying in Ballynahinch Castle!

Day 5: Thursday – The Aran Islands

Aran Islands on your Wild West and North Tour of Ireland

After a short drive cross country to Rossaveal Pier on Galway Bay we take the ferry to the Aran Islands. We will land on rugged Inishmore, the largest of the three Aran Islands.

We explore the Island by bicycle or by special request jaunting. Our route will take in the stone fort of Dún Aonghasa, which lies 100m over the ocean before making our way back to the mainland. While you are there you might pick up a few words of “Gaelic” from the locals and maybe get an original Aran Sweater!

Our departure from Rossaveal is the start of our Galway adventure. We will hug the coastline into bustling bohemian Galway. Expect a great atmosphere, entertaining street performers and plenty of craic in this much celebrated town.

Day 6: Friday – Galway to Dublin

Galway is a city that has its Medieval history at its very heart.

Now that you have a “feel” for Galway, our guide will take you down the narrow medieval streets where you can duck in and out of brightly coloured shops.

Try on Claddagh Rings, Galway shawls and pass through The Spanish Arch to take in the famous Claddagh fishing village.

Transportation is provided with the GoBus, a direct bus from Galway to Dublin city centre or Dublin Airport in case you need to catch a flight home.

Arrive in London, the cosmopolitan capital of the United Kingdom and transfer to your hotel. Most flights arrive in the early morning and your room may not be ready for you. In this case, leave your luggage with the concierge and your Tour Manager will provide suggestions for you to begin to explore the city on your own. Your tour will begin with an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 6 PM, followed by a light dinner

DAY 3, Saturday - London City Tour
Discover London's history and pageantry on a tour of the trendy West End that begins with a drive through fashionable Kensington. Pass Harrods, on the way to Piccadilly, Trafalgar Square, and Westminster Abbey. Continue to the historic Houses of Parliament, and view Big Ben. Balance of the day is at leisure or, join the optional tour of the Tower of London, and St. Paul's Cathedral

DAY 4, Sunday - Stratford-upon-Avon, Medieval York
From London, head to Stratford-upon-Avon, on the River Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. View the thatched cottage where Anne Hathaway lived before continuing to his home on Henley Street. Pass by Holy Trinity Church, his final resting place before free time in this celebrated town where the Bard's plays are still performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company. Then, travel to the walled medieval city of York in northeast England. Dinner together is at the hotel

DAY 5, Monday - York Minster, Edinburgh
View York Minster, a remarkable 13th-century Gothic cathedral with medieval stained glass and two functioning bell towers, that dominates this historic city. Drive past the city walls that form a walkway on both sides of the River Ouse on the way to Hadrian's Wall. Crossing into Scotland, drive via Jedburgh Abbey one of the four abbeys built on the border during the Middle Ages. In the afternoon, arrive in Edinburgh, Scotland's capital city

DAY 6, Tuesday - Edinburgh's Heritage, Holyrood and Edinburgh Castle
Today take a tour of Edinburgh. Pass the elegant mansions of the 200-year-old Georgian "New Town" on the way to the Museum of Scotland and the Scottish Parliament at the foot of the Royal Mile. View Holyrood Palace, the Queen's official residence in Scotland. Later, visit Edinburgh Castle to view Scotland's crown jewels, St. Margaret's Chapel and the Stone of Destiny. After, return to the city center for leisure time. Tonight, don't miss the optional Scottish Dinner with tartan-clad entertainers, bagpipers and Highland dancers

DAY 7, Wednesday - Ferry to Belfast
Morning drive to the small village of Cairnryan, to board a luxury high-speed ferry that whisks you to Belfast in Northern Ireland across the Irish Sea. Upon arrival, independently discover Northern Ireland's capital with its beautifully restored Victorian architecture, and rich cultural life. Dinner tonight is at a local restaurant

DAY 8, Thursday - Explore Belfast, Titanic Museum
Today's exploration of Belfast begins at the Edwardian City Hall, the university district, and the newly-renovated Ulster Museum, a repository of historic treasures. Stop in a neighborhood where buildings are still scarred from "The Troubles" which ended with the 1998 Good Friday Agreement. Visit the Titanic Belfast Museum constructed in the actual dockyard where the doomed ship was built; its multimedia presentation follows the history of Belfast and the creation of the world's most famous ocean liner. The rest of the day is yours to discover Belfast on your own

DAY 9, Friday - Giant's Causeway & Visitor Center, Derry's Medieval Walls
Begin with a drive through the Glens of Antrim to the north coast of Northern Ireland. Here, visit Giant's Causeway, the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Northern Ireland, where unusual hexagonal columns formed by 60 million years of volcanic activity stretch into the sea. After a visit to the Visitor Center, on to the city of Derry (also called Londonderry). In the afternoon, a walking tour of Derry includes the neo-Gothic Guildhall with its beautiful stained glass windows. View the preserved medieval city walls, that completely encircle the old city. Dinner tonight, is at your hotel

DAY 10, Saturday - Picturesque Sligo, Knock Shrine, Westport
Morning drive to Sligo, with its renowned natural beauty, home to the young poet William Butler Yeats. Next, proceed to the village of Knock in County Mayo, where many believe that the Virgin Mary appeared; pause at the sacred Knock Shrine, a Roman Catholic pilgrimage site. The day ends in bustling Westport, in the northern West Coast Upon arrival, enjoy a dinner of local favorites

DAY 11, Sunday - Glen Keen Sheep Farm, Kylemore Abbey & Gardens
A day in the Irish countryside! Visit the unique Glen Keen Farm* and learn more about this center of agritourism designated as a special area of conservation for its natural beauty. After lunch, travel into the heart of Connemara to visit Kylemore Abbey. Stroll through the restored rooms of the abbey and the Victorian walled garden with its colorful floral displays. Perhaps, stop for a cup of fresh herbal tea at the Tea House, before returning to Westport. The evening is at leisure

DAY 12, Monday - Seaside Galway, Discover Dublin
Today, travel to Galway, once a seafaring town, nestled on the shores of Galway Bay. Walk the winding streets in the downtown area to Eyre Square and the trendy Latin Quarter. At Lynch's Castle, view 14th-century stonework that includes ghoulish gargoyles before arriving at Galway Cathedral. In the afternoon, it's off to Dublin, the capital of Ireland. At Trinity College, view the 8th century Book of Kells, an example of early Irish manuscript illumination on display in the Old Library before continuing to St. Stephen's Green, Phoenix Park and St. Patrick's Cathedral. The evening is at leisure

DAY 13, Tuesday - Dublin at Leisure, Irish Pub Dinner
Spend a full day of leisure in Dublin, to further explore this city on your own. Then it's time to get ready for dinner at one of Ireland's oldest pubs. It will be a rip-roaring evening of traditional Irish music and dance accompanied by a great selection of quality Irish food
