Depart for Colombia, a country of great diversity, culture, and natural beauty. Arrive in Bogota, the capital and largest city in Colombia. Check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure to explore the city independently

DAY 2, Thursday - Bogota Walking Tour
Begin the day with a walking tour of the colonial section of La Candelaria, stopping at Plaza de Bolivar, the main square of the city. Surrounding the square you'll see the Cathedral, Palace of Congress, the Cardinal's Palace and the colonial church of El Sagrario. Next, visit the astonishing Gold Museum, where you'll see the world's greatest collection of pre-Hispanic native gold crafts. Continue to the Fernando Botero Museum, housing many of the paintings and sculptures of this world-famous contemporary Colombian artist. Spend the afternoon at leisure, or join the following optional tours; Half Day Monserrate Hill with lunch, that takes you up to Monserrate Mountain and Half Day Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira, where you visit the impressive Salt Cathedral, built within the tunnels of a salt mine. Tonight perhaps, walk through the trendy Zona Rosa district, known for its lively pub scene, or join the optional Dinner at Andres Carne de Res DC

DAY 3, Friday - Flight to Medellin
This morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Medellin. The city is located in the beautiful Aburra Valley, surrounded on four sides by lush green mountains and rugged peaks. Named the "City of Eternal Spring" because of its year-round mild temperatures, the city bustles with non-stop activity. Remainder of the day is at leisure

DAY 4, Saturday - Full Day in Medellin
Spend the day at leisure in Medellín to further explore this intriguing city or, join the full day optional Guatapé & Piedra del Peñol. Depart from Medellin this morning, on a scenic drive through the Eastern Highlands of Antioquia. Arrive at one of the area's top attractions, the Peñol Rock (La Piedra del Peñol), a 656-foot high monolith. You'll have the opportunity to climb more than 700 stairs to reach the top of this spectacular landmark and admire panoramic views of Guatapé Lake and the surrounding mountains. Continue with a visit to the town of Guatapé. After lunch on your own, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Guatapé, one of the country's largest lakes. Return to the hotel in Medellin
