Similarly, Ladakh’s high altitude azure lakes, monasteries, mountain passes (often referred to as cold desert) and more are globally applauded for their unmatched beauty. This ‘09 nights and 10 days’ tour offers a comprehensive tour of Kashmir and Ladakh.

Itinerary: Yoga-Meditation-Trekking Tours in Leh India

Day 1

Arrival at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (IXL) and check-in at hotel. You can use this day to acclimatize. Later in the evening, you will pay a visit to Leh Market, Leh Palace, and Shanti Stupa. You will be spending the night at Hotel Leh.

Day 2

After breakfast, you will drive and visit Shey palace, Thiksey, Hemis monasteries, Stok palace museum, and Sindhu Ghat. You will also be spending the night at Hotel Leh.

Day 3

After breakfast, you will be taken to Nubra Valley via Khardungla. After lunch, you will enjoy the camel safari at the sand dunes between Deskit and Hundur village. You will spend overnight at the Nubra Ethnic Camp, Nubra .

Day 4

After breakfast, you will visit Deskit Monastery (Big Buddha), where you can have a magnificent view of Nubra Valley and drive back to Leh by the same route, crossing the Khardungla pass. You will spend the night at Hotel Leh.

Day 5 Leh- Spituk to Zingchen 3700 m (4-5 hours)

Level: Moderate

The trek traditionally starts at the bridge over the Indus about a kilometer west of Spituk Village. Our walk begins along an old jeepable on very dry and exposed land, so water and protection against the sun are important! After 2 hours the landscape becomes greener as we go into the Zingchen Valley, where the Rumbak River flows into the Indus. Our camp is in the small village of Zingchen, which means 'big field', where there are just two houses. The rest of the day will be spent enjoying the view and maybe even a dip in the river.

Day 6 Zingchen to Rumbak 3900 m (4-5 hours)

Level: Moderate

Today we enter Hemis National Park, home to the famous Snow Leopard, Blue Sheep, Ladakhi Urial (a type of goat), great Tibetan sheep (Arghali), red fox, Tibetan wolf, wild dog (dhole), Lynx, marmot and mountain hare. We start to climb gradually up to village of Rumbak.

Day 7 Rumbak – Stokla – Camp Site (4-5 hours)

Level: Tough

Today may be difficult day on the trek, as in the morning after breakfast you will ascend the 4,900-m. Stok Pass also known as the Namlung La. If you are fit and have camped at the plateau just under the pass as all do, you should have no problem climbing up to the pass. One can climb steadily and made it in less than 1.5 hrs. From the campsite walk less than ½ hrs and on your right you will find zigzagging mountain terrain.

Day 08: Camp Site – Stok – Leh (4-5 hours)

Level: Easy

Today is an easy day going downhill all the way. Follow the stream on its left bank as it heads north. The path is vast and easy. You will find willows and wild roses growing on islands in the middle of the stream which grows quite wide as you approach Stok. Visit the Stok Palace, residence of the king of Ladakh. We steadily descend through meadows to Thachutse and cross the Nimaling river. The trail follows the Markha river now, and will do so for the next few days.

Day 9:

Early morning, you will transfer to Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (IXL) to board your flight back home.

Itinerary: Ladakh Kashmir Heaven on Earth

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

On arrival at the Delhi international airport, our representative will greet you. After the warm welcome, transfer to the hotel and relax. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Delhi – Srinagar [By Flight]

After breakfast at the hotel, check-out and transfer to the airport for your flight to Srinagar. On arrival at Srinagar Airport, our company representative will greet you with a warm welcome and then escort you to your Houseboat in Srinagar. Check-in and relax. Visit Mughal Gardens including the Chasm-e-Shahi and the Pari Mahal, as well as the Shankaracharya temple.

In the evening, enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal Lake. Night stay at the Deluxe Houseboat.

These luxury boats are at par with ant hotel stacked with modern amenities, be it a large bed room, lounge, television, bar-cum dining hall. Built of wood, the classy furniture and intricately carved interiors make it a must stay while in Srinagar

Day 3: Srinagar – Gulmarg- Srinagar (46 km/approx. 1.5 Hrs. drive each way)

After breakfast, check out from the Houseboat and check-in at the hotel in Srinagar than proceed to Gulmarg. Drive through the beautiful Hills to Gulmarg one of the finest hill stations in the Kashmir. In Gulmarg, take the cable car ride, one of the world’s highest cable cars, to reach Apharwat, to see the enchanting beauty of the place. Gulmarg is a wonderful place to take a walk, a pony ride, get out the paints or play golf on one of the highest golf courses in the world. In the evening, return back to Srinagar and overnight at the houseboat.

Gulmarg is at an altitude of 8,500 ft. and located 51 km west of Srinagar. It rests in a small valley with a backdrop of the lofty Pir Panjal range of the Himalaya Mountains. As the area is under snow for 6 months of the year it is popular as a skiing area. It also has one of the best natural golf courses in the world. Pony trekking is available, as are plenty of walks for bird watchers in the meadows of alpine flowers. The Highland Park Hotel is on the western side. There are magnificent views of Nanga Parbat, ranked 9th highest mountain in the world.

Day 4: Srinagar – Sonmarg (98 km/approx. 3.4 Hrs. drive)

After breakfasts Check-out from hotel and drive through the local villages and Hills to reach the place called Sonmarg also known as “Meadows of Gold” Enjoy horse riding and local sightseeing. Check-in at hotel. Night stay at Hotel.

Sonmarg, at an altitude of 9000 ft. above sea level, lies 87 km north-east of Srinagar. The drive to Sonmarg is yet another spectacular facet of the countryside in Kashmir, in Sindh Valley. The Sindh Valley is the largest tributary of the valley of Kashmir. It is upwards of sixty miles long, and valley and deep gorge to open grassy meadow land and village-dotted slopes.

Day 5: Sonmarg – Kargil (80 km/approx. 3.4 Hrs. drive)

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive through the local villages and hills to reach  Kargil. On arrival in Kargil, check- in at the hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Kargil is a district of Ladakh region in Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Kargil lies near the Line of Control facing Gilgit–Baltistan to the west, and Kashmir valley to the south. Zanskar is part of Kargil district along with Suru, Wakha and Dras valleys.

Day 6: Kargil – Leh (150 km/approx. 5.6 Hrs. drive)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Leh. On arrival in Leh, meet and get assisted by our representative to the hotel. Check in to the hotel for 02 nights wherein welcome tea and coffee will be served by the hotel.

In the evening, you can visit Leh local market. Leh town offers a number of sightseeing options for the visitors. A historic town that served as the royal capital of the Old Kingdom, it is dominated by the nine-storey palace built by King Singge Namgyal in the grand tradition of Tibetan architecture, which is said to have inspired the famous Potala in Lhasa built about half a century later.

Day 7: Leh

After breakfast at the hotel, leave for complete day of visit to the monasteries (104 Km) visit the Shey Palace, Thiksey, Hemis monasteries, and Stok Palace Museum. Evening return to the hotel for overnight stay.

The Shey Monastery or Gompa and the Shey Palace complex are structures located on a hillock in Shey, 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) to the south of Leh in Ladakh. Shey was the summer capital of Ladakh in the past. Thiksey Gompa or Thikse Monastery is a Tibetan style Buddhist monastery, located on top of a hill, approximately 19 kilometres east of Leh. It is noted for its resemblance to the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet, and is the largest monastery in central Ladakh.

Day 08: Leh – Nubra (120 km/approx. 3-4 Hrs. drive)

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel then drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (highest motorable road in the world at 18,380 ft.) On arrival, check-in to the hotel (Tented Accommodation) for 01 night. Rest of the day is free to explore Deskit, Hunder villages and camel Safari in Sand Dunes between Deskit and Hunder Village. Overnight at the hotel.

Nubra Valley is about 150 km north of Leh, the capital town of Ladakh. Local scholars say that its original name was Ldumra (the valley of flowers). The Shyok River meets the Nubra or Siachan River to form a large valley that separates the Ladakh and the Karakoram Ranges. The average altitude of the valley is about 10,000 ft. above the sea level. The common way to access this valley is to travel over the Khardung La from Leh. Non-locals require an Inner Line Permit (obtainable in Leh town) to enter Nubra.

Day 9: Nubra - Leh (120 km/approx. 3-4 hrs. drive)

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and visit Deskit Monastery and drive back to Leh by the same route, crossing Khardungla Pass. On arrival, check-in to the hotel for 02 nights. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10: Leh – Pangong – Leh (160 Km/approx. 4-5 hrs. drive each way)

After breakfast, leave for a trip to Pangong Lake 14,500 ft., through Changla Pass 17,350 ft. (third highest motorable road in the world.) Return back to Leh for night stay.

Pangong Tso (or Banggong Co Lake) is an endorheic lake in the Himalayas situated at a height of about 14,270 ft. (4,350 m). It is 134 km (83 mi) long and extends from India to Tibet. 60% of the length of the lake lies in China. During winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water. The lake is in the process of being identified under the Ramsar Convention as a wetland of international importance. This will be the first trans-boundary wetland in South Asia under the convention.

Day 11: Leh Airport- Delhi

After breakfast at the hotel, check-out and transfer to Leh Airport to take your onward flight to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi Airport, fly to your onward destination or stay overnight in Delhi.
