Description

Experience the rich history of Central Europe's most majestic destinations in several adventure-filled nights! You'll begin in magical Budapest, continue to musical Vienna, and finish in medieval Prague.

In all three cities, you'll have a chance to see all the iconic highlights. In Budapest, enjoy the treasures of the city with a panoramic view from Fishermen’s Bastion, admire the 13th-century Matthias Coronation Church, and even see Budapest's largest thermal bath in City Park.

Next, you'll hop a train for Vienna, the city of classical music! Visit the impressive State Opera, opened in 1869, then marvel at the gilded interiors of Schonbrunn Palace, the former imperial summer palace. If the mood strikes, enjoy Vienna's famous schnitzel and strudel at one of the many cafes.

Your final nights are spent in medieval Prague, also known as the "City of a Hundred Spires." Get lost in the cobbled lanes, experience Prague's one-of-a-kind nightlife, sip on its world-famous beer, and last but not least - explore the 1,000-year-old Hradcany Castle grounds, the largest castle complex in the world.

Itinerary: Affordable Budapest, Vienna & Prague

Day 1 Welcome to Budapest, Hungary!

Welcome to the "Pearl of the Danube" - Budapest! Get settled at your first accommodation then start exploring the city! Enjoy a traditional Hungarian meal of goulash in the Old Town.

Day 2 Budapest

Begin your day in Budapest with a visit to the Fisherman’s Bastion, a neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque structure offering fantastic panoramic views of the city.

From there, head to the imposing Buda Castle atop Castle Hill. The castle, also known as the Royal Palace, is home to a number of cultural institutions including the Hungarian National Gallery and the Budapest History Museum.

After a dose of culture and history, cross the iconic Chain Bridge into flat Pest and find a cafe to rest your feet and enjoy a meal.

Day 3 Budapest, Hungary - Vienna, Austria

Say goodbye to Budapest as you board a train to Vienna, once the center of the mighty Habsburg Empire. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation then start exploring!

Celebrate your first night in Vienna with schnitzel, breaded, and fried meat (usually veal) that can be as big as a plate. Wash it down with Austrian beer.

Day 4 Vienna

Vienna is known for art and music, so you'll want to soak up some local culture today. Consider stopping by the Belvedere, home to the world's greatest collection of Austrian art, including Gustav Klimt's famous painting "The Kiss."

Or perhaps make it a musical day by following the footsteps of Mozart at the Mozarthaus, Mozart's only surviving Viennese residence, now home to a museum.

After a day of exploring, why not head to the city's famous Naschmarkt; to nasch means to snack in German, so pick up a few tasty treats at this bustling food market.

Day 5 Vienna, Austria - Prague, Czech Republic

Welcome to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic! Check into your accommodation, then spend the remainder of the day exploring this marvelous city. Prague is famous for its beer, so why not visit one of the city's pubs and try some for yourself? Pair a pint with schnitzel and you have a perfect first night in Prague.

Day 6 Prague

Discover the cultural and historic heart of the Czech Republic at Prague Castle. Built in 880, the castle has withstood the test of time to become not only a UNESCO World Heritage Site but also the largest castle complex in the world! Take several hours to explore its palaces, gardens, and courtyards (you can also book a guided tour for an extra cost).

Day 7 Depart Czech Republic

After breakfast, enjoy one last glimpse at Prague before heading to the airport for your flight home.
