A truly unique adventure awaits you in each destination! Your journey will begin as you arrive in Manchester Airport, where you will collect your rental car. From there, you'll drive to Liverpool for two nights of music and culture! After your stay in Liverpool, head to the charming city of York and immerse yourself in old-world beauty. Your next stop will be Northern England's gem of natural beauty: the Lake District. Meander through rolling greenery, soaring mountains, and glistening lakes and waterfalls. Stay in picturesque Windermere for two nights, then drive back down to Manchester, where you will complete your adventure. |
Day 1 Welcome to Manchester!
Touch down in the land of classy sophistication and scenic countryside - England! Upon arrival in Manchester, pick up your rental car and let your adventure begin! Take a quick one-hour drive west to Liverpool, where you will spend your first two nights. After you check-in to your hotel, settle in and get to know the city. Treat yourself to a delicious first-night meal, or head to a local pub and say "cheers" with a pint!
Day 2 Liverpool
Here comes the sun! Recharge with a scrumptious English breakfast, then grab your camera and explore! Liverpool is the proud birthplace of The Beatles, and you will feel good vibes around every corner. See this wonderful city through the eyes of one of the most famous '60s rock bands in the world. Spend the afternoon sightseeing on your own. Check out one of England's largest churches, Liverpool Cathedral, visit the Tate Liverpool and other artsy museums, then dance the night away at the famous Cavern Club!
Day 3 Liverpool - York
Fuel up with some breakfast, then hit the road! Today, you'll drive about two hours to the city of York. This beautiful city is packed with culture, history, and old-world charm! Once you settle into your York hotel, head outside and get to know the city. Wander the city center, do some souvenir shopping, and treat yourself to some fish and chips at a cute restaurant.
Day 4 York
See York's most famous sites such as the stunning York Minster, York's Chocolate Story, the Yorkshire Museum, and much more! Explore York completely at your leisure, and then settle in for another relaxing night at your accommodations.
Day 5 York - Lake District
After breakfast, hop in the car and enjoy a spectacular scenic drive up to the Lake District. Feel free to make stops in quaint countryside villages, as this drive is about 2 hours and 30 minutes long. Upon arrival in breathtaking Windermere, check-in to your hotel and take in the beautiful scenery surrounding you. This popular resort town is adjacent to England's largest lake: Windermere Lake! Stroll around the charming town lined with colorful shops, stone buildings, and family-run restaurants. Treat yourself to lunch in town, then explore the area's natural landscapes.
Day 6 Lake District
Wake up smiling - you're in England's Lake District! After a delicious breakfast, strap on comfortable shoes and get ready for a day of beautiful landscapes. Visit the picturesque village of Grasmere, then head up to Helvellyn, Ullswater, and Dale Head for unbeatable views of sparkling lakes and sky-high mountains.
Day 7 Lake District - Manchester
Enjoy a pleasant breakfast, then wave goodbye to the idyllic Lake District and make your way back down to Manchester. Feel free to stop along the way, as this drive is about two hours long. Upon arrival in Manchester, check-in to your final hotel and get settled. When you feel ready to explore, walk around the city, check out some trendy bars, and get lost in the city's museums and art galleries!
Day 8 Manchetser
Make the most of your last day in Manchester! Enjoy a delicious breakfast and explore around the city. You might want to check out Manchester Cathedral, Castlefield, Manchester Art Gallery, Chinatown, and Manchester Town Hall.
