Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu

We will be picked up by Peregrine Treks and Tours’ representative at Tribhuvan International airport and transferred to the hotel. After a short rest at the hotel, we are free to explore the Thamel market and we can also buy necessary equipment for the Glimpse of Nepal and Tibet Tour. There will be a Dinner program where we can discuss our trip plan.

Day 2: Exploring UNESCO World Heritage Sites

Today we will wake up and have a great breakfast at the hotel. Then we will start our tour to several most historical and spiritual attractions of Kathmandu. Kathmandu city is recognized as the city of believers, living heritage, the centre of culture, and Nepal’s Cultural Gem. First, we will visit Pashupatinath Temple – the sacred Hindu temple, with living arts and architecture. Then Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) and Boudhanath (Buddhist shrine), which is one of the largest stupas in the world. Also, we will explore the medieval palaces of Kathmandu i.e Basantapur Durbar Square. In the evening, we will return to our Hotel-Overnight at Kathmandu, Thamel.

Day 3: Scenic drive to Pokhara

Driving hours: 6-7 hours
Altitude: 1400 meter/4600 Feet
After having breakfast, we will have two choices to go Pokhara either from Flight or from Drive. By driving, it takes about 6 hours and by Flight for about 45 minutes. But we will prefer you to drive because while driving through the busy highways along with the bank of Trishuli River, we are sure you will enjoy this Drive. When we reach Pokhara, then we will take some rest at the hotel. In the afternoon we will visit Phewa Lake for enjoyable boating. If the weather supports us, we can see Annapurna, Himchuli, Dhaulagiri, fishtail, and many more Himalaya ranges from Pokhara-overnight at Pokhara.
Note: If you have a back problem or any health problem, you can take a flight upon additional USD 120 per person. From flight, you can see the Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and Annapurna Himalayan Range.
Day 4: Sightseeing in Pokhara

After having the light breakfast in the hotel, we will move towards Sarangkot. We can see the beautiful views of the sunrise in the Annapurna range, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre (Mount Fishtail), Himchuli, and many others. We will spend about two years in Sarangkot. We will go to Gupteshwar Mahadev, International mountain museum, suspension bridge and more popular spots-Overnight at Pokhara.

Day 5: Back to Kathmandu

After having breakfast, we will drive or fly to Kathmandu. When we reach Kathmandu, we will complete our packing for the Tibet Tour. In the evening we can go to the Gardens of Dreams to wander or to take dinner. Overnight at Hotel
Day 6: Drive to Rasuwagadhi from Kathmandu

After having breakfast, we will take a drive from the hotel to Rasuwagadhi. Out repo will be full of the waterfall, forest, mountains, and gorges, which will make you feel so unique and enjoyable. Around after 6-7 hours of Drive, we will arrive at Rasuwagadhi- overnight at the local guest house.

Day 7: Drive to Tingri from Gyirong

Today we will wake up early, and this is our first morning in Tibet. After breakfast, we will meet our Tibetan tour guide and transfer to Old Tingri from Gyirong. On the way of old Tingri, we will enjoy the beautiful borderline and snow-capped mountain and lush evergreen forest. Add the way we will pass through Tongla Pass (5100 meters). We are sure that you will enjoy the Epic mountain beast of Himalayan ranges in the way. When we reach Tingri, you will find different landscapes, cultures, traditions, peoples, and their living sense-overnight at Tingri.

Day 8: Drive to Shigatse from Tingri via Everest Base Camp

Today is one of the essential days of our trip, after waking up early in the morning and having breakfast. We will drive to Shigatse, on the way we will pass through the famous Gawu La pass. Gawu La pass is a great destination where about the top 4 highest peaks alone, the magnificent Himalayas are within natural sight. As we drive early in the morning, we can enjoy the sunrise panoramic views of the Himalayas in a way which will make you feel so fresh. After driving for some hours, we will be in the Everest (In Tibetan language Chomolungma) Base Camp. After spending some time on base camp, we will explore the Rongbuk monastery (5154 meters), also known as the highest Buddhist monastery. Then we will drive towards the Shigatse-overnight at Shigatse.

Day 9: Drive to Lhasa from Shigatse via Gyantse

After waking up early in the morning and having breakfast, we will visit the famous Tashilhunpo monastery. We can see the well preserved most giant statue of Jampa, which is also known as the future Buddha in the world. This monastery is a seat of Tibet, which is the second-largest incarnation, the Pachen Lama. If your trip is in summer, we can time we can visit Barley mill and view the landscape of the Barley field.
After spending the sum of the time at the monastery, we will have a short drive to Gyantse. On the way, we can visit and see the varieties of Landscape Mountains and historical sites like Palkhor Chode Monastery, Khumbu, and Gyantse Old Street, many official vistas of Gyantse fortress.
Then again, we will continue to our Drive, and after 4 hours of Drive, we will be in Lhasa. On the way, We will pass through the Manak Dama Lake, where we will hang the prayer flag at Simila Mountain pass, and also we will have a close view of Korola Glacier on the roadside. We will pass through the Gabbala Pass, from where we can view turquoise Yamdrok Lake and Snow-capped Mount Nyenchen Khangsar. Finally, after crossing the Brahmaputra River, we will reach Lhasa-overnight at Lhasa.

Day 10: Sightseeing over Lhasa

We will wake up quickly in the morning, and after having breakfast, we will head to the Potala Palace. Potala Palace is the palace of the Dalai Lama, where he stayed in winter. Many Kings had already ruled there in the 7th century. The most important selection of Potala Palace is the gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lama and the reflection cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet. After having lunch, we will head towards the Jokhang temple found by the 33rd great king of Tibet in the 7th century. In this palace, we can see Buddha and pilgrims’ statues, prostrating in front of the Jokhang temple. Near the temple, there is a Barkhor street, where we can do kora (a religious circle of a building is a mountain) with pilgrims and locals and explore the old market. Also, we can take Tibetan tea with a local tea house. At night we will have a welcome dinner at a special hotel-overnight at Lhasa.

Day 11: Lhasa Tour

After waking up early in the morning, we will have breakfast, and we will move to visit first place in Lhasa City. Drepung monastery was one of the best and the wealthiest Gelung Monasteries of Tibet, founded in 1416 by Jamyang Choge. Here is a school of over 10000 monks and governed 7700 subsidiary monasteries. We can also explore the most significant monastery kitchen inside the Drepung monastery and enjoy the Buddhist Sculpture carving workshop. After studying this monastery will be visiting the Sera Monastery. This is also similar to the Drepung Monastery. The attractive point of Sera is the monk’s debate at around 3-5 p.m. We can see the scripture painting houses inside the monastery, three sand Mandalas, colourful rock paintings of Buddha. We will visit our hotel via Barkhor Bazaar, which is known as the largest and oldest in Tibet- overnight at Lhasa.

Day 12: Fly from Lhasa

Today is our last day in Tibet; we will visit Tibet International Airport before 3 hours of our Flight. While flying over Tibet and Nepal, we can see the change of landscapes and the beautiful scenario of Himalayan ranges. Are represented from the peregrine treks will be there to pick us up. He/she will drop us at our hotel. I will take some rest. At night there will be our farewell dinner, where we will talk about our successful journey and your experiences-Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 13: Final departure

This is the final day of the Glimpse of Nepal and Tibet. Around 3 hours before the scheduled flight, a representative from the Peregrine will leave you to the airport.
Day 1: US - Night on board
Arrive at your US departure airport ready to check-in for an overnight flight to Kathmandu. Night on board. Important: If your outbound flight leaves at dawn (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the selected departure day.
Day 2: Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel. The largest urban area in Nepal, with 2.5 million inhabitants, consists of the core of the metropolitan city of Kathmandu and its sister cities Patan, Kirtipur, Thimi and Bhaktapur, including the urban areas of Shankhapur, Karyabinayak, Champapur, Banepa, Dhulikhel and Panauti. The capital of the country is located at 4,593 feet above sea level in a picturesque bowl-shaped valley in central Nepal. Spend the day discovering the city at your leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 3: Kathmandu - Bhaktapur - Kathmandu
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, visit "the city of the devotees", Bhaktapur, to admire the great architectural beauty of one of the three royal cities of the Kathmandu Valley, also declared a World Heritage Site and whose Durbar Square is the best preserved in the valley. The Royal Palace stands out, the entrance door is a masterpiece in embossed art, as is the Nyatapola Temple, known as the Temple of the Five Roofs, which is a pagoda of five magnificently sculpted floors and one of the highest in the country. Later, continue to the oldest temple in the Kathmandu Valley, the Changu Narayan Temple located in the Changu village and dedicated to the god Vishnu. From here there is a beautiful view of the surroundings. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 4: Kathmandu - Patan - Kathmandu
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning we recommend an optional Mount Everest flight-seeing excursion.* Head to the Kathmandu Valley through Asan Tole, the main street of the capital's oldest shopping area, which offers a vivid display of local Nepalese life. Discover the rich Nepalese culture and everyday life through the bustling and narrow streets and courtyards. Visit Durbar Square in Kathmandu, where you can see the Kumari Temple, which houses the living Goddess and the exteriors of the Taleju Temple and Kala Bhairav. In the afternoon, explore Swayambhunath Stupa, located at the top of a hill, to contemplate the beautiful landscape of the Kathmandu Valley. Later, discover the old city of Patan and visit it's Durbar Square, the oldest of the three Durbar Squares in the valley. See the Royal Palace, home to beautiful patios and ornate windows and sanctuaries dedicated to Shiva, Ganesh and Vishnu. Also visit the Temple of the living goddess Kumari, who looks out onto the balcony to receive the greetings of the devotees. Return to the hotel and overnight stay. * Optional Mount Everest Flight-seeing Excursion: One-hour long sightseeing on a fixed-wing aircraft for an experience of a lifetime. All the spectacular glaciers, snow-capped peaks, and gorges glide below you as your fly towards Mt. Everest. Includes a flight certificate awarded at the end of the excursion. Return to Kathmandu to begin the rest of the days sightseeing.
Day 5: Kathmandu - Chitwan
Breakfast at the hotel. Set off by road to Chitwan, passing by scenic landscapes during the approx. 4-hour journey. Arrive in time for lunch and get settled at the hotel. In the afternoon, head out on a 1-hour nature walk to explore the beautiful surrounding area, scattered with cabins inhabited by the indigenous Tharu tribe, who have lived in the forests surrounding Chitwan for hundreds of years. After a delicious dinner, enjoy a Tharu Stick Dance Show, performed by local farmers, for an insight into Chitwan’s cultural roots. Overnight stay in Chitwan.
Day 6: Chitwan
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, set off for magical Chitwan National Park, one of the richest national parks in Asia, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Enjoy an exciting photographic jeep safari in the heart of the jungle to discover a lost world of towering prehistoric trees, rhinos, elephants, crocodiles, brightly coloured birds and, of course, the majestic Bengal Tiger. Inside the park, visit the Gavial Crocodile Breeding Centre, dedicated to the breeding of this species in order to boost the local population. Lunch included. Afterwards, enjoy a tranquil boat ride on the river to soak up the views of the sunset. Return to the hotel for dinner. Overnight stay in Chitwan.
Day 7: Chitwan - Pokhara
Awake early to enjoy a quiet walk through the village to soak up the sights and watch as the village comes to life in the morning. Return to the hotel for breakfast before setting off for Pokhara, a journey of around 3.5-hours long. En route, visit Bandipur Village, a small hilltop settlement and an amazing example of Newar culture. This charming village is home to precious 18th-century architecture, a number of small cafes and shops. Continue to Pokhara, nestled in a quiet, forest-covered valley. Arrive, get settled at the hotel and spend the remainder of the day at your leisure, soaking up the fantastic views of the Himalayas and the five Annapurna peaks. Overnight stay in Pokhara.
Day 8: Pokhara
Breakfast at the hotel. Set off for Sarangkot to see the sunrise over the Himalayas if weather conditions permit. Located at 5,223 feet, it is the most popular spot to enjoy the magnificent views of the Pokhara valley and the mountains. Afterwards, take a boat ride on Phewa Lake and see the beautiful Devi Waterfall and explore the Sacred Cave of Gupteshwor, almost 1.9 miles long. Continue to the traditional Old Bazaar of Pokhara, a pleasant traditional place, which is full of merchants of diverse ethnicities that sell fabrics, food, and gold among many other products. Return to the hotel and an overnight stay.
Day 9: Pokhara - Kathmandu
Breakfast at the hotel. Head back to Kathmandu and enjoy the scenery along the way. Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free to enjoy the city at your leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 10: Kathmandu - Nagarkot
Breakfast at the hotel. Set off for Nagarkot, a village nestled in the beautiful mountains which is famed for its amazing views of the Himalayas. Arrive at the hotel and check-in. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight in Nagarkot.
Day 11: Nagarkot
Breakfast at the hotel. Today enjoy guided walks through the hills surrounding Nagarkot. It is the best way to explore and experience the spectacular natural landscape, countryside and terraced farmland and also understand the lifestyle of local people. Overnight in Nagarkot.
Day 12: Nagarkot - Kathmandu
Breakfast at the hotel. Set off for Kathmandu. Take a guided tour of Bouddhanath and Pashupatinath. The Buddhist stupa of Boudhanath, one of the largest in the world and icon of Nepal, sits on an octagonal base and is surrounded by the houses of the Lamas. Discover Pashupatinath Hindu Temple from the east bank of the river, the most important and oldest of the Kathmandu Valley, which is dedicated to Shiva and built-in an exuberant natural environment. Free afternoon to stroll through the city or make last-minute souvenir purchases. Overnight stay.
Day 13: Kathmandu - Overnight flight
Breakfast * at the hotel. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport and check-in for your return flight back to the US Overnight flight. (Dependant on the choice of flight, you may arrive back in the US today). * Depending on the return flight schedule and the hotel breakfast service, you may not be able to enjoy the included breakfast on the last day.
Day 14: US
Arrive back in the US and end of your trip.
