Consider yourself a bit of a foodie? This escorted tour is the one for you! Embark on the adventure of a lifetime during this 7-day culinary-focused Tasmania tour from Hobart to Launceston.

Starting in Hobart, your holiday will begin with a full-day Bruny Island tour, where you’ll enjoy some of the island’s best local produce, which may include oysters, cheese, berries, wine and spirits. From there, you’ll enjoy participating in a masterclass at Federation Artisan Chocolate, where you’ll learn all about the chocolate-making process and enjoy some tastings.

Travel through the central highlands of Tasmania, as you make your way to Scamander, stopping at a whiskey distillery along the way. Start the morning with a walk along the famous Bay of Fires, before a local jam making demonstration at Eureka Farm. As you journey towards Launceston, visit Pyengana Dairy for a cheese tasting, followed by a visit to the beautiful Bridestowe Lavender farm and a final pit stop at a local winery where you’ll get to sample their best offerings.

Itinerary: Experience New England
 Day 1 - Arrive Boston, MA

Be greeted by our Tour Director and transferred to our hotel, the 4-star Omni Providence, located in downtown Providence, RI. Dinner this evening is included on Federal Hill this evening. (D)

 Day 2 - Martha's Vineyard, MA

This morning we take the fast-ferry from Quonset Point to Martha’s Vineyard. The island is located only 7 miles south of Cape Cod and is a longtime New England summer hotspot, only accessible by boat or air. Made up of harbor towns, beaches and lighthouses, Martha’s Vineyard has so much to offer everyone. Enjoy the day, whether it is shopping, renting a bike, or even taking an island tour the day is yours to explore! We return back to Providence early evening.

 Day 3 - Newport, RI

Today we are headed into Newport, RI. Known for its yacht filled harbor, Bellevue Avenue lined with its Gilded Age Mansions, and the 3.5 mile Cliff Walk. We will meet a local guide who will take us on a tour of the area. After, we will visit The Breakers Mansion, the grandest of the Newport summer ‘cottages’, and a symbol of the Vanderbilt family’s social and financial status in turn of the century America. The afternoon is yours to explore, shop and enjoy lunch along the harbor; however, we will meet up to have dinner together before heading back to our hotel. (D)

 Day 4 - Mystic, CT

After breakfast, on your own, we will visit the Mystic Seaport Museum, located in historic Mystic, CT. The Seaport is our nation’s leading maritime museum, founded in 1929 it has become the national center for research and education. Originally designed to help preserve the disappearing artifacts of our seafaring past, we can walk around the re-created town, the working shipyard, the exhibit halls, and the 1841 whaling ship, the ‘Charles W Morgan’. This afternoon we take a break and visit Olde Mistick Village, a re-creation of a 1720-style colonial village with a Meeting House. You can shop and eat here. On our way out of Mystic, CT we will stop at Stonington Vineyards for a tasting. Dinner is included at George’s of Galilee.  (D)

 Day 5 - Boston, MA

We bid farewell to Providence and travel north to Boston, MA. This morning we have a local guided tour of Boston, before spending the afternoon on our own. Explore the ‘North End,’ visit the Museum of Science, the Boston Common, the Aquarium, and so much more! After working up an appetite we meet up for a farewell dinner, served family style, at Maggiano’s Restaurant. From dinner, we will check into our hotel. (D)

 Day 6 - Depart Boston, MA

After breakfast, we are transferred to Logan International Airport for your return flight home.

Day 1: ARRIVE IN HOBART

Welcome to Tasmania! Hotel rooms are available for immediate check-in. A pre-night is not required for early check-in. Please schedule flights to arrive by 4pm in time for a welcome meeting and drink featuring local wines and spirits.

Day 2: HOBART. EXCURSION TO BRUNY ISLAND

This morning, visit the famous Salamanca Market with a chance to meet artisans and taste fresh local produce. After time to explore the market on your own, travel to Bruny Island and enjoy a tasting tour of this rugged island that may include local specialties such as fresh oysters, cheeses, berries, and more. Return to Hobart where your evening is at leisure. (Breakfast,Lunch)

Day 3: HOBART. EXCURSION TO HAMILTON & NEW NORFOLK

This morning, participate in a master class at Federation Artisan Chocolate. Learn the process of making chocolate from bean to bar and enjoy some tastings. Next, visit a working sheep and cropping farm where you will see a sheep shearing demonstration, working dogs rounding up the sheep, and learn about the extensive conservation program on the farm, before sitting down for a freshly prepared lunch. Continue to New Norfolk for an orientation tour. Return to Hobart where the remainder of the day is at leisure. (Breakfast,Lunch)

Day 4: HOBART–BOTHWELL–SCAMANDER

Travel into the scenic central highlands of Tasmania and visit the Australasian Golf Museum, which tells the story of how golf evolved from a crude game into one of Australia's most popular participation sports. Next, visit Old Kempton Distillery, a whiskey distillery located in a beautifully restored 1840's colonial inn. Later, see Oatlands & Callington Flour Mill, the only working example of its type in the southern hemisphere. Before arriving at your hotel, enjoy a leisurely walk on the Grey Mare's Waterfall Trail. Tonight, enjoy a fresh seafood dinner at a local restaurant. (Breakfast,Dinner)

Day 5: SCAMANDER. EXCURSION TO BAY OF FIRES

This morning, stretch your legs on the legendary Bay of Fires Walk and enjoy spectacular views of the sandy white beaches, colorful orange granite boulders, and emerald-blue waters. Next, watch a jam making demonstration at Eureka Farm, growers of fruits and berries. The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to explore more on your own. You may wish to try your hand at fishing, shop for a favorite souvenir, visit the art galleries, or relax and just enjoy this amazing setting. (Breakfast)

Day 6: SCAMANDER–NABOWLA–LAUNCESTON

Start the day with a visit to Pyengana Dairy where you'll join in a cheese making discussion and enjoy a tasting of Australia's heritage farmhouse cheese. Next, visit Bridestowe Lavender Estate for a tour and a lunch of local produce. Then, make a stop at a local winery and find out why Tasmanian wine is among the best in the world. Tonight, your Tour Director hosts a festive farewell dinner featuring local Tassie produce and wine. (Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner)

Day 7: LAUNCESTON

Your holiday ends with breakfast this morning. You may also choose to extend your time in Launceston and explore more on your own. Extra nights are available for purchase. (Breakfast)
