Itinerary: Rhine in Flames Extravaganza

30 June - Night of Fire Magic
Cologne - Bonn - Andernach - Boppard - Rudesheim (Rhine in Flames) - Cochem - Koblenz - Cologne

Set in Rudesheim, thought of as one of Germany’s prettiest towns, this is one of the most exciting festivals with elaborate shows set to a magnificent backdrop made up of fairy-tale castles and churches, set alight by awe-inspiring firework displays. 


12 August - Procession to Koblenz
Cologne - Bonn - Andernach - Cochem - Koblenz (Rhine in Flames) - Rudesheim - Boppard - Linz - Cologne

Koblenz hosts Europe’s longest boat parade along the Rhine, and is considered one of the most spectacular nights of the Rhine in Flames. The parade finishes with a wonderful fi rework finale, bringing the town’s castles and palaces to life. 


9 September - Night of a Thousand Fires
Cologne - Bonn - Linz - Oberwesel (Rhine in Flames) - Rudesheim - Bingen - Mainz - Koblenz - Cologne

Oberwesel celebrates with a fantastic musical firework display, as the riverboats sail the 7km stretch of Rhine. Coinciding with Oberwesel’s wine festival, this is always an incredible celebration, passing the stunning Loreley Rock and the Seven Virgins rock formation. 


15 September - The Lorely Night
Cologne - Bonn - Konigswinter - Koblenz - Boppard (Rhine in Flames) - Rudesheim - Linz - Cologne

The perfect end to the week-long Boppard wine festival, this is a truly wonderful event. The Rhine in Flames is completed with four separate firework displays, each illuminating the river with a dazzling display of light and colour around the Rheinfels, Katz and Maus Castles. 


Join by Coach

Tuesday - UK to Northern France
Across to Calais and then to our overnight hotel in time for dinner.

Wednesday - Northern France to Cologne
Join the MPS Rotterdam in Cologne ready to embark on our Rhine in Flames cruise.

Wednesday - Cologne to Northern France
Journey by coach to our overnight hotel and enjoy dinner.

Thursday - Northern France to UK
Time for breakfast before we travel on to Calais for our return crossing and then continue home.

Please note: The procession and fireworks may be watched from the ship or by coach at a viewing point, depending upon sailing schedules.

Itinerary: The Petite Saône & The Burgundy Canal (port-to-port cruise)

Day 1 Dijon(2) - PORT-SUR-SAONE

Possible transfer(2) by coach from Dijon to Port-sur-Saône. Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 6:00 p.m. After comfortably settling into your cabins, we'll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail before dinner.

Day 2 PORT-SUR-SAONE - RAY-SUR-SAÔNE

This morning will be spent cruising towards Ray-sur-Saône. This is the perfect moment to relax and enjoy the hillside scenery and rolling meadows during our cruise In the afternoon, join us on an visit to the medieval castle at Champlitte which hosts the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions.

Day 3 RAY-SUR-SAÔNE- GRAY

This morning will be spent cruising towards Gray. Take time to admire the spectacular scenery that we slowly pass by as we cruise. In the afternoon, join us on a guided tour of Gray. You'll discover the wonderful treasures of the town as you meander through its streets. The tour will end with a tasting* of some of the local specialties.

Day 4 GRAY - AUXONNE

The whole day will be spent cruising towards Auxonne, arriving near the end of the afternoon. You can relax on the sun deck and admire the beautiful scenery. Bicycles are available on board at any time if you would like to take a bike ride along the canal's banks(1).

Day 5 AUXONNE - LONGECOURT-EN-PLAINE

This morning will be spent cruising. Admire the magnificent lush, green landscapes all along the river on our journey. In the afternoon, join us on an excursion along the Grands Crus Wine Route. The touristic Grands Crus wine route passes through villages and the finest and most prestigious of the Burgundy vineyards. We'll stop along the way for a wine-tasting* session. We'll return on board in Longecourt-en-Plaine.

Day 6 LONGECOURT-EN-PLAINE - DIJON

This morning will be spent cruising towards Dijon. In the afternoon, enjoy some time on your own. Explore the Cité de la Gastronomie et du Vin at your own pace. Tonight is our gala evening and dinner.

Day 7 DIJON

Enjoy one last buffet breakfast on board before disembarking at 9:00 a.m. End of our services
