| Description | This cycling exploration of Kerala goes beyond buildings and monuments, past temples and tombs, to the living and breathing heritage of South India. In 7 days full of on and off-bike adventures, experience the quintessential pace of South Indian life: the bustle of a big city, the lively local villages, fantastic food and fascinating culture, while finding plenty of time to unwind in the peace and tranquility of serene backwaters and tropical forests. |
Day 1
Transfer out of the bustle of Kochi to a farmstay in the lush and serene countryside. Take a tour of the the nearby village and the grounds of the farm, where the ingredients for our meals are all grown organically.
Day 2
Cycle through characteristically lush Kerala surroundings and get a closer look at authentic South Indian Life. A tranquil resort on the river awaits at the end of the first day of cycling.
Day 3
A fantastic day of cycling and discovering more of Kerala off-the-beaten-track. Ride along the banks of the river and visit its impressive waterfalls before relaxing at a local cuisine-focused resort with impressive hospitality.
Day 4
Ride into Thrissur district, the cultural capital of Kerala. Enjoy one of Kerala’s specialty cuisines over lunch- served on a banana leaf!
Day 5
For cultural aficionados, a highlight day of the trip, featuring sacred art forms originating in Kerala.
Day 6
A highlight of any South India bike tour, an exploration of village life and a ride on an authentic train through the countryside.
Day 7
A relaxing morning takes us into a final ride through a historic spice port, then on to Kochi for onward departure.
