Itinerary: Canadian Rockies Grand Circle

Day 1 London - Vancouver
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to London Heathrow Airport and your direct, scheduled Air Canada flight to Vancouver. On arrival we transfer to our hotel, the Century Plaza Hotel (3T), Holiday Inn Vancouver-Centre (3T) or Metropolitan Vancouver (4T).

Day 2 Vancouver
We start our exploration of Canada with a tour of Vancouver, considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world for its stunning setting and extensive parks. The tour will take you to some of Vancouver’s most notable sights, including exotic Chinatown and Gastown, the oldest part of the city with carefully restored heritage buildings. This afternoon you have the opportunity to explore the city further at your leisure.

Day 3 Vancouver - Whistler
Today we take the relatively short journey from Vancouver to the alpine village of Whistler, passing stunning scenery shaped by soaring mountains. We check into The Listel Hotel (3T) or Pinnacle International Centre (3T+) and the rest of the day is at leisure to explore this world-famous ski destination.

Day 4 Whistler
Today is free for you to enjoy Whistler and the surrounding mountain landscapes. You can do this independently, with a multitude of beautiful walking trails for varying abilities, or choose to join an optional excursion to search for local wildlife which includes chipmunks, coyote and black bears. The record-breaking Peak 2 Peak Gondola offers a breathtaking way to cross between the Blackcomb and Whistler Mountain peaks, offering more gorgeous views and scenic walking trails.

Day 5 Whistler - Sun Peaks
We travel on to our second alpine-village hotel, the Coast Sundance Lodge (3T) in Sun Peaks. This car-free centre is a quieter resort and a great base for further exploration into Canada’s mountainscape, coloured by wildflowers during the warmer months of summer.

Day 6 Sun Peaks - Jasper
Today we travel to Jasper, and take a tour of the incredible National Park which shares the town’s name. This wild, 10,878 square kilometre park is home to world-famous natural sites and some of North America's rarest animals, including grizzly bears, moose, caribou and wolves. Our tour takes us to Maligne Canyon, over 50 metres deep at some points; the seasonal Medicine Lake, filled by the Maligne River and glacial water in the summer; and Maligne Lake, the largest natural lake in the Canadian Rockies, surrounded by majestic peaks. We stay at the Lobstick Lodge (3T) for two nights. Before heading to bed, take a look outside - the region boasts the world’s largest dark sky preserve for stargazing.

Day 7 Jasper
Today is at leisure in Jasper, a small, colourful and truly Canadian town in the midst of Jasper National Park. Dinner has been arranged with an interpretative talk.

Day 8 Jasper - Banff
Our journey today takes us from one national park to another - Banff National Park - along the Columbia Icefields Parkway, a spectacular road which winds its way through endless wilderness, passing pristine mountain lakes and sweeping valleys, with the possibility of wildlife sightings. On our way, we stop to experience an unforgettable drive in a specially adapted Ice Explorer onto the Columbia Icefield Glacier, one of the biggest accumulations of ice and snow south of the Arctic Circle. An experienced driver/guide will share fascinating information about the glaciers and icefields (subject to favourable weather conditions). We stay two nights at the Moose Hotel & Suites (4T) or Caribou Lodge (3T+).

Day 9 Banff
On today’s tour we experience some of the stunning locations which surround Banff. Beautiful Banff National Park is possibly best known for its lakes and we visit two of the most stunning - Moraine Lake and Lake Louise. Enjoy the extraordinarily photogenic settings of these two iconic alpine lakes, filled with turquoise glacier water which sustains many native animals including grizzly bears.

Day 10 Rocky Mountaineer (Banff - Kamloops)
Today we transfer to the station to board our Rocky Mountaineer train. Relax and enjoy the gorgeous vistas as we travel through Canada’s stunning Rocky Mountains, alongside the powerful Kicking Horse River, passing monumental landmarks. This route was the first to connect east and west Canada, traversing the Continental Divide. Our hotel tonight is arranged by Rocky Mountaineer.

Day 11 Rocky Mountaineer (Kamloops - Vancouver)
Our unforgettable rail journey continues this morning, arriving in Vancouver where we check in to the Century Plaza Hotel (3T), Holiday Inn Vancouver-Centre (3T) or Metropolitan Vancouver (4T). The rest of the day is at leisure to explore Vancouver once more.

Day 12 Vancouver - Victoria
This morning we board a ferry in Tsawwassen, Vancouver to make the scenic crossing through narrow fjords to Swartz Bay, Victoria. You may be lucky enough to spot whales and dolphins while you admire the views of the gorgeous Strait of Georgia. Once in Victoria, we transfer to the DoubleTree by Hilton Victoria (4T), with the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 13 Victoria
Today we learn about the heritage that has created the oldest city in the Pacific Northwest. The unhurried city of Victoria has an abundance of museums and sites which hark back to colonial times and reflect the love for art. Known as the ‘City of Gardens’, there are numerous parks to explore, showcasing a passion for year-round blooms. Our tour takes us amongst Victoria’s long-trodden streets before visiting the most famous of Canada’s floral havens - Butchart Gardens. This 30-acre display, created from a limestone quarry that was reclaimed in 1904, includes gardens influenced by Italy, Japan and its very own native culture.

Day 14 Victoria - Vancouver - In flight
We leave Victoria behind and drive to Swartz Bay, to take the ferry to Tsawwassen and onward transfer to Vancouver. We continue to the airport for our direct, scheduled Air Canada flight to London.

Day 15 London
Arrival at London Heathrow Airport where you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
