Heading to the Mediterranean in the height of summer is always an irresistible and unforgettable experience. Sailing into the Spanish cities of Málaga, birthplace of Picasso, and Barcelona, home to Gaudi’s architectural wonders will set the scene for the delights ahead. Continue to the South of France fishing port, Marseille, where an optional excursion takes you to the enchanting lavender fields of Provence - their powerful aroma and vibrant colours are guaranteed to awaken your senses. We’ll also discover Mahón and Cartagena, before heading to Lisbon, Portugal’s capital. This cruise provides a heady experience from start to finish. |
Day 1-2: Lisbon
Accommodation: Novotel Lisboa or similar
Arrival at any time. Learn about important areas in Lisbon’s history as you explore its most interesting neighborhoods. Discover Chiado and Bairro Alto and admire the views from Miradouro São Pedro de Alcântara. Ride the Eleléctrico tram and visit the Alfama district.
Day 2-4: Porto
Accommodation: Mercury Porto Centro or similar
Experience a walking tour through the streets of the historical center of Porto, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Marvel at the fantastic views of the Crystal Palace Gardens, walk along the famous Aliados Avenue, catch a glimpse of the Douro River from Louis I Bridge, descend down the narrow streets and staircases of the Miragaia neighborhood, learn about Porto's founding and formation.
Day 5-6: Madrid
Accommodation: Mercury Lupo de Vega or similar
Enjoy a walking tour around this beautiful city, additionally visit the Prado Museum or Reina Sofia Museum where you will see the works of Picasso and Dali or ancient Toledo.
Day 6-7: Barcelona
Today you will fly to Barcelona, exploring this beautiful city, visiting the Gothic Quarter and Las Ramblas, Sagrada Familia, Parc Güell, and in the evening go to try tapas and Spanish wine. You will have free time to relax on the Barcelonetta beach or go shopping.
Day 1 Southampton
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to Southampton, where our staff will greet you and assist with embarking Braemar (3T+) in preparation for a late evening sailing.
Day 2-4 At sea
Day 5 Málaga, Spain
We awake in Málaga today, a city that exudes utter charm. Home to the birthplace of Pablo Picasso, you can view his famous art work at the Picasso museum. Or maybe with an inviting beach just a stone’s throw away, you may opt for some downtime to soak up the sun.
Day 6 At sea
Day 7 Barcelona
This cosmopolitan city is packed full of must-sees. Spend the day admiring Antoni Gaudi’s masterpieces such as the unfinished Sagrada Familia and impressive Casa Mila. With beaches galore, you may choose to head here for the afternoon after a successful shopping trip along Las Ramblas.
Day 8 Marseille, France
Marseille boasts both charm and class with an abundance of traditional theatres and unforgettable architecture on offer. Today, you will get the chance to join an optional excursion to the lavender fields of Provence - prepare to be dazzled by fields of purple and their intoxicating bouquet.
Day 9 Mahón, Menorca
Mahón is the biggest natural port in the Mediterranean. You can enjoy your day visiting the British-built Fort Marlborough or the many boutique shops on offer. This evening we set sail for Cartagena.
Day 10 Cartagena, Spain
Enjoy an afternoon wandering round Cartagena’s Old Town and admire some of the Roman architecture that remains to explore, including the amphitheatre dating from around 100 BC.
Day 11 At sea
Day 12 Lisbon, Portugal
Your final port of call takes you to the fine city of Lisbon, located on the River Tagus. It’s spread over seven hills and is connected by an array of impressive bridges transporting you on a journey to admire palaces, art-nouveau cafés, picturesque gardens and captivating museums.
Day 13-14 At sea
Day 15 Southampton
We disembark after breakfast and you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
