Description | Sail from Newcastle aboard Fred. Olsen’s Balmoral - a ship small enough to cruise along some of Norway’s most dramatic fjords. Take in the breathtaking Lysefjord, showcasing beauty and nature at its best before heading to Bergen to explore this fascinating city. Next, you will sail into the small village of Flåm, where you can enjoy a scenic train ride on the famous Flåm Railway. From then on your days will be filled with endless fjords and mind blowing sights, such as the Seven Sisters waterfall and Europe’s highest sea cliff at Hornelen - a truly charming and dramatic cruise. |
Day 1 Newcastle
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to Newcastle, where our staff will greet you and assist with embarking Balmoral (3T+) in preparation for a late evening sailing.
Day 2 Cruising Lysefjord, Norway
We head towards Norway, reaching the beautiful Lysefjord this evening, which offers waterfalls, idyllic islands, and stunning nature for you to admire. On a clear day it is possible to see the famous Preikestolen - a huge 604m-high flat mountain plateau - and Kjeragbolten, a large rock wedged in one of Mount Kjerag’s crevices.
Day 3 Bergen, Norway
Arrive early into Bergen - the gateway to the fjords. Bergen is Norway's second largest city, and lies climbing up the mountain sides, overlooking the sea. You can roam through living history in this modern city, before continuing on to explore the wildest and loveliest fjords of Norway.
Day 4 Flåm - Cruising Nærøyfjord
Sail into the village of Flåm, most famous for the Flåm Railway. Perhaps take a 20km scenic ride along rivers, waterfalls and snow-capped mountains. Later we cruise along Nærøyfjord, one of the narrowest fjords in Norway - at one point it is only 500 metres wide. Ship to shore tender service.
Day 5 Olden - Cruising Nordfjord and Hornelen
An early arrival allows you to explore Olden, a quaint village at the end of Nordfjord, which we will cruise along later. This area offers lots of great and readily accessible scenic, cultural and culinary experiences. We will also sail past Hornelen, Europe’s highest sea cliff. Ship to shore tender service.
Day 6 Hellesylt - Cruising Geirangerfjord, Sunnylvsfjorden and Storfjorden
Today will be spent admiring spectacular views as you arrive into the town of Hellesylt and start your dramatic tour. Take in wonders such as the awe-inspiring Seven Sisters waterfall, which consists of seven separate streams, and Sunnylvsfjorden, comprising 16 miles of craggy cliffs, tall waterfalls and glassy waters - get your camera ready.
Day 7 At sea
Day 8 Newcastle
We disembark after breakfast and you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
