Day 1 UK - Milan
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your flight to Milan. Meet your Uniworld representative on arrival and transfer to the Starhotels Rosa Grand Milan or similar (5T) for two nights.
Day 2 Milan
Milan is a mecca for Italian fashionistas, famous for its innovative design and stylish flair. Venture inside the city’s Gothic cathedral, as well as Europe’s oldest shopping arcade. The highlight today is pure genius - Da Vinci’s revolutionary The Last Supper mural.
Day 3 Milan - Verona - Venice
En route to Venice, you’ll stop in the literary hometown of Shakespeare’s famously star-crossed teen lovers to see the sights and the famous balcony. Later, enjoy lunch at a historic wine estate owned by descendants of Dante, the great Italian poet who penned The Inferno. Once in magical Venice, board River Countess (5T) where you’ll begin your exploration of the ‘Queen of the Adriatic’.
Day 4 Venice
If ever there was a city that could be described as ‘bewitching’, Venice is it. An expert guide will show you iconic sites as well as quiet lanes and secret spots. Also on deck today: a scenic cruise around the Venetian Lagoon and an extremely rare after-hours visit to St Mark’s Basilica. A special Captain’s welcome reception and dinner will be prepared for you this evening.
Day 5 Chioggia
Join a local expert for a stroll around this picturesque fishing village, a popular place for artists, or take a bike ride along the beaches lining the lagoon. The seaside air and sweeping views are simply spectacular. Please note: The Italian Maritime Authorities require that the ship is only manned by crew during the Adriatic Sea passage.
Day 6 Polesella (Bologna or Ferrara)
If you have an appetite for pasta, head to Bologna today - the heart of Italian culinary traditions - to learn how to make (and eat) your own lunch. Or indulge your appetite for art with an excursion to Ferrara, an ancient centre for the arts that once rivalled Medici Florence.
Day 7 Taglio di Po - Chioggia
Chioggia is such a delight that we’ll return there today to experience something completely different. You can visit the village’s bustling once-a-week market or for something really unique, hop aboard a small boat to go mussel harvesting with local fishermen out in the lagoon. Please note: The Italian Maritime Authorities require that the ship is only manned by crew during the Adriatic Sea passage.
Day 8 Venice Islands (Burano, Mazzorbo and Torcello)
Venice is an island surrounded by hundreds of smaller islands, three of which you’ll visit today - Burano, famous for its lace-makers and houses painted in eye-popping colours; Mazzorbo, where you’ll taste a historic golden-hued wine; and Torcello, home to beautiful Byzantine mosaics.
Day 9 Venice
If you love food, you’ll love today’s walking tour to the famous fish and produce market next to the Rialto Bridge. Or, join an art historian for a highlights tour of the Accademia gallery. A special Captain’s farewell reception and dinner will be prepared for you this evening.
Day 10 Venice - UK
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. Upon arrival your Titan vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
Day 1: Welcome to Rome Italy’s Eternal City
The Italy Tour for Seniors starts with a private transfer from the airport to the hotel of your choice for 4 nights. Settle in, adjust to your exciting new surroundings, and get ready for your adventure ahead!
Day 2: Walking The Eternal City
This morning, meet your private guide and set the scene for your Rome walking tour discovering vibrant squares, magic fountains and unusual talking statues. Stroll through the cobbled streets, which takes you to the famous Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona and Trevi Fountain but also little-known treasures. Stop for in-depth discoveries, photo ops and a gelato break. Day 3: Step into the Pages of Roman History

After marveling at its vast interior, you enter the Roman Forum the heart of Roman daily life. Finally climb to the top of the Capitoline Hill religious center of ancient Rome. Day 4: Treasures of the Vatican

Day 5: Departure from Rome to Florence via Orvieto
Today it's off to the capital of Tuscany and the birthplace of the Renaissance. Transfer with private driver stopping en route in the walled hill town of Orvieto. Located in the beautiful Umbrian region, Italy’s ‘Green Heart, Orvieto is sure to capture your heart. The cobbled streets of Orvieto are charmingly medieval and away from the tourist routes but with plenty of distractions including authentic restaurants to enjoy local delicacies. Following lunch, you'll be taken to your hotel in Florence where you will be staying for 4 nights. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.
Day 6: Journey to the Renaissance
This morning your private guide meets you at your hotel and whisk you off to see the heart of the city. Walk through the history of Florence and relive the Renaissance in the footsteps of Michelangelo. Discover Ponte Vecchio, the city’s oldest bridge. Enjoy Piazza della Signoria a virtual open-air museum of artwork by Renaissance masters. Then comes Piazza del Duomo, where the cathedral, baptistery and bell tower are located. Day 10: Enjoy a True Taste of Venice
Step away from the crowds of tourists and see the off the beaten path Venice has to offer as you wander its winding alleys, cross historic bridges and drift along canals on a gondola. This morning your private guide meets you at your hotel and whisk you off to experience the city like a local. While the hidden gems of Venice will certainly amaze you, the pleasures of the historic Rialto market are sure to delight. To take the edge off, the tour concludes with a private gondola ride. Day 11: Island Paradise
Meet your private guide at your hotel and journey by private boat across the Venetian Lagoon to Murano. Here you will visit a glassblower's studio, watch the artisans at work and learn about Venetian glassblowing art. Neighboring Burano has canals lined with colored houses and is famous for its lacemaking, a skill that has developed here since the 16th century.
