Day 1: Sydney

Arrive at any time. On the 1st day we haven't plan any activities.

Day 2: Sydney

Explore Sydney with a walk along the harbour to the iconic Sydney Opera House and the Rocks area. In the afternoon go sailing around Sydney Harbour. Enjoy the views of the gorgeous surroundings and look out for naval ships and submarines. If you are lucky, you might even see a dolphin, a seal or a penguin.

Day 3-4: Surfers Paradise

Fly to the famous surf and arts town of Gold Coast. Learn about the culture of surfing in the area and try it yourself. Enjoy free time for optional sea kayaking, whale-watching or just relax at the beach.

Day 5-6: Airlie Beach and Whitsunday Islands

Transfer to Brisbane and flight to Airlie Beach. On the 6th day, you will go on a cruise to Whitsunday Island and visit the beach of Whitehaven.

Day 7: Cairns

An early start to the station for a relaxing and very scenic train journey to Cairns.

Day 8-9: Port Douglas

Travel along the stunning coastal road to Port Douglas. On the 9th Day you will Sail aboard the stunning catamaran and cruise to the Great Barrier Reef, snorkel the pristine ribbon reefs of Agincourt Reef, where the underwater visibility and biodiversity is at its highest, visit 3 separate dive sites and enjoy 5 hours at the reef, swim with the dwarf Minke whales in season, on one of the few vessels that has a permit to swim with the inquisitive whales.

Day 10: Cairns

Transfer back to Cairns Airport

Day 1 Launceston - Bicheno

We make our way to the East Coast and the beautiful Bay of Fires. If the conditions are right, this is the perfect place for a swim. Tasmania’s most scenic coastal drive takes you from St. Helens to Bicheno where we meet the iconic Tasmanian devil as we stop at a wildlife sanctuary. This evening you may choose to join a viewing experience of the Little Penguins (optional, at your own expense and seasonal).

Day 2 Freycinet National Park - Hobart

An early start means we are the first to the Wineglass Bay lookout, beating the crowds and the heat for that postcard photo. Relax on the secluded beach or choose the more challenging Mt. Amos or a beach walk. We continue our journey south passing the coastal villages of Swansea and Orford before arriving back to Hobart.

Day 3 Bruny Island

We journey south of Hobart to Kettering and board the vehicular ferry to cross the D’Entrecasteaux Channel to North Bruny Island. On the island, we stop at “The Neck” home to the Truganini Lookout and its spectacular 360-degree panoramic views of the Bruny Island coastline. Also, today we visit South Bruny Island and Adventure Bay, look for some local wildlife (including the white Bennetts wallabies) and sample some fresh local produce including oysters and cheese.

Day 4 Port Arthur Historic Site

We start with a visit to Australia’s best-preserved colonial village, Richmond, before we head south to explore Tasmania’s ruthless convict past at the World Heritage site, Port Arthur Historic Site, (guided walk and short harbor cruise is included). Rich in visual history, learn of the chilling life as a convict in the restored sandstone prison buildings and preserved ruins.

Day 5 Hobart - Strahan

We leave Hobart and drive through the Derwent Valley – traveling east to west across the island. You’ll see the beautiful Russell Falls, walk among Mt. Field National Park Tall Trees, and visit Australia’s deepest freshwater lake, Lake St Clair. Explore the pristine Franklin-Gordon Wild River National Park and end the day in Strahan.

Day 6 Wild West Coast

In the untouched wilderness of Tasmania’s West Coast, we will explore the shifting sands of Henty Dunes. Then, we continue into the Tarkine Rainforest and walk to Tasmania’s highest waterfall – Montezuma Falls. Or you can choose to join the world-famous Gordon River Cruise (optional, at your own expense).

Day 7 Cradle Mountain - Launceston

Around 950m above sea level is the World Heritage site Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, where you can choose a walk to suit you. With an extensive range of tracks, stroll around Dove Lake or challenge yourself with a hike to Marion’s Lookout. A short drive takes us through Sheffield, the ‘town of murals’ and then to Launceston.
