    Day 1 ARRIVAL AT DELHI

    Upon arrival at Delhi International Airport, our representative will meet you and transfer you to the hotel in Delhi. Delhi: It is a city that has been an idyllic symbol of the magnificent past and thriving present of India. It has never failed to amaze its visitors with its beautiful blend of various nationalities, diverse cultures & traditions, heritage of the bygone eras and its modern lifestyle – all rolled into one. Day free at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel in Delhi.

    Day 2 DELHI SIGHTSEEING

    After breakfast, proceed with Delhi sightseeing tour with first visit to the Jama Masjid - the largest Mosque in India. Visit Chandni Chowk – oldest, biggest bazaar of Old Delhi. Later, walk up to Fatehpuri Masjid and enjoy a rickshaw ride till Red Fort. Here our driver will meet you, drive past Red Fort (a 17th century historical fort in Delhi) and reach Rajghat, a memorial where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. An eternal flame burns on one side of this memorial. Visit the Humayun Tomb - first garden-style tomb of India. The main highlight of this tomb, inspired by Persian architecture, is the four garden squares with water passage channels surrounding the tomb. Drive past Rashtrapati Bhawan - residence of the President of India and India Gate - an archway built in honor of the soldiers who died in World War I. Visit Qutub Minar built by Qutab-ud-din Aibak in 1193 to mark the beginning of Muslim rule in India. In evening, head for a Sound and Light Show at Red Fort in Delhi. This 60-minutes show is an amalgamation of sound and animations that recall the historical events associated with the rise and fall of empires and the making of Delhi. It is an ideal way to witness the magnificent era of Mughal rule and history of Delhi. Overnight stay at hotel in Delhi.

    Day 3 DELHI - AGRA (205 KM/APPROX. 4-5 HRS)

    After breakfast, you will head to Agra. Agra: It a beautiful city situated on the banks of river Yamuna that achieved prominence as the capital of the Mughal Emperors from 1526 to 1628. It still remains a popular tourist destination because of its many splendid Mughal-era monuments, most notably the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort & Fatehpur Sikri, all three are UNESCO World Heritage sites. Upon arrival in Agra, check-in at the hotel. After some relaxation, visit the Agra Fort that resembles the magnificent Red Fort in Delhi. The Diwan-i-Aam (Hall of Public Audience), Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience ) and the Sheesh Mahal (Palace of Mirrors) are a must-see attractions here. Later in the evening, enjoy a royal Tonga ride to the Taj Mahal - the most extravagant symbol of love, dedication and purity ever that took almost 22 years to build. It is an ivory-white marble monument where rests the mortals of Mughal Emperor Shahjahan (who built Taj Mahal) and his wife (Mumtaz). An interesting fact about this stunning edifice is that it turns pinkish in the morning, milky white in the evening and golden at night as the moonlight falls upon it. Watching sunset over this iconic monument, is truly a sight to behold. Overnight stay at hotel in Agra.

    Day 4 AGRA - JAIPUR (260 KM/APPROX. 5-6 HRS) VIA FATEHPUR SIKRI

    Post breakfast and check out, drive to the beautiful city of Jaipur, also known as the Pink City of India. En route visit Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned city of the Mughal Empire. The city boasts some of the magnificent monuments built during the Mughal Era, which include the Panch Mahal, Buland Darwaza and Dargah of Sheikh Salim Chisti. You have time to explore the corners of Fatehpur Sikri before continuing your way. Continue drive to Jaipur. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Jaipur: Jaipur is a city known as the Pink City of India due to extensive use of pink sandstone in various buildings of the city. Its monuments showcase a myriad of architectural styles and its vibrant bazaars are famous for traditional handicrafts and jewellery. The ambiance of this city speaks volumes of the rich lifestyle of the Rajput Kings. Overnight stay at hotel in Jaipur.

    Day 5 JAIPUR SIGHTSEEING

    After breakfast, head for Jaipur sightseeing. Visit the Amer Fort dating back to 16th century that displays private halls, pavilions, former private chambers of the King and royal Rajput women. The reflection of this fort falling on the Maota Lake, is truly captivating. Enjoy an Elephant ride here. Explore the City Palace consisting of former private and public chambers, silver vessels, courtyards, gateways, private chambers of the King and lot more. Later, head to Jantar Mantar. It is an astronomical observatory that features the World’s largest Sundial - Samrat Yantra. Visit the Hawa Mahal - a five-storey palace built in 1799 during Rajput rule. It is popularly known for its intricately-designed 953 windows adorned with spectacular latticework. Later, afternoon is kept free to visit the famous Markets of Textiles, Gems, Carpets, and handicrafts. Jaipur is an ideal place for buying souvenirs. Overnight stay at hotel in Jaipur.

    Day 6 JAIPUR - JODHPUR (345 KM/APPROX. 6-7 HRS)

    After breakfast, drive to Jodhpur - the Blue city of Rajasthan. Jodhpur: It is a land where the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort is located in the center of the city. This fort offers spectacular city views as it overlooks the houses painted in bright blue colors. These blue-colored houses are a stark contrast to the surrounding desert ambiance of the Thar desert. On reaching Jodhpur, check-in at the hotel. Day free at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel in Jodhpur.

    Day 7 JODHPUR - UDAIPUR - EN ROUTE RANAKPUR JAIN TEMPLE (260 KM/APPROX. 6 HRS)

    After early morning breakfast, go for Jodhpur sightseeing tour with first visit to the Mehrangarh Fort that stands high on a perpendicular cliff. This impressive fort can be viewed from any point in Jodhpur. The ornate red sandstone carvings, ornate paintings and palanquins, intricate mirror works, exquisite gold paintings, lavish interiors, Jharokhas and panoramic views of the Jodhpur city, makes this fort worth a visit. Close to this fort is a pure white marble cenotaph - Jaswant Thada. It is noted for its brilliant architecture and fine paintings. Later, proceed with a drive to Udaipur. En route, visit the Ranakpur Jain Temple - a 15th century temple made of white marble. It was built by a rich Jain businessman and is dedicated to Lord Adinath - 1st Tiranthakara (Spiritual teacher) of Jainism. This temple is said to have around 1,400 pillars that are designed totally different from each other. It was among the 77 sites to be nominated as the 7 wonders of the world. Continue drive to Udaipur. On reaching, check-in at the hotel. Day free at leisure. Udaipur: Udaipur is a beautiful historic city founded in 1533. It is named after its founder Maharaja Udai Singh. Within the city, you will discover azure water lakes and rich heritage including forts, temples mostly belonging to the Rajput era in Rajasthan. It is renowned for its incredibly-beautiful Lake Palace, City Palace located on the banks of Pichola Lake and the Udaipur Solar Observatory - believed to be the best Solar observatory in Asia. Overnight stay at hotel in Udaipur.

    Day 8 UDAIPUR SIGHTSEEING

    After breakfast, visit the wondrous City Palace - a white marble palace complex built during the Rajput rule. It is a blend of Rajasthani, Mughal, European and Chinese architecture. The main highlights of this palace are the Monsoon Palace, Lake Palace, Amar Vilas, Zenana Mahal (private quarters of the royal Rajput women), Jagdish Temple and Neemach Mata temple etc. Head to the Sahelion Ki Bari - a beautiful garden meant for the Rajput Kings and Queens leisure time. Visit the Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal, a cultural place showcasing the traditions and culture of Rajasthan, traditional ornaments, folk traditional outfits, puppets, masks, dolls, classical paintings and folk musical instruments. Later, enjoy boat ride at the Lake Pichola - an artificial fresh water lake founded in 1362 AD. It is the oldest and one of the largest lakes of Udaipur. Later, head for a Sound and Light Show in Udaipur. The city of Udaipur hosts a spectacular Sound and Light show in the City Palace - one of the largest palaces of Rajasthan - perched on a hilltop. This Sound and Light Show titled "Yash ki Dharohar" (Legacy of Honor) takes you to a fascinating 1-hour journey of the engrossing history of Mewar dynasty in Udaipur.     Day 9 UDAIPUR - DELHI (BY FLIGHT) – DEPARTURE

    After breakfast, our company representative will transfer you to Udaipur International Airport to board your flight to Delhi. On reaching, connect your flight to take back home.

    Itinerary: India in 12 days - Palaces & Deserts of Rajasthan - Charm

    Day 1: US - Night on board

    Arrive at your US departure airport ready to check-in for an overnight flight * to Delhi. Night on board. * If either your outbound or inbound flights depart in the early hours (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the indicated departure day.

    Day 2: Delhi

    Arrive in India’s capital and transfer to hotel. Delhi is a city with a wonderful architectural legacy from its Islamic conquerors together with its spectacular historic city centre. The rest of the day free to start to get to know this fascinating city. Overnight stay in Delhi.

    Day 3: Delhi - Mandawa

    Breakfast at the hotel. Depart by road to Mandawa. En-route, pass through authentic villages and start to enter some of the most rural parts of India. On arrival in Mandawa, enjoy a walking tour through the streets of the city. See the amazing Havelis - mansions noted for their frescoes depicting images of British colonial rule. Overnight stay in Mandawa.

    Day 4: Mandawa - Bikaner

    Breakfast at the hotel. Depart by road through the arid lands leading to the Bikaner Desert Kingdom - a major centre of trade during the 16th century. In the afternoon visit the spectacular Junagarh Fort, with its impressively decorated interiors. End the day with a memorable Tuk-Tuk ride from the ancient city bazaar. Overnight stay in Bikaner.

    Day 5: Bikaner - Jaisalmer

    Breakfast at the hotel. Enter the Thar Desert by road on your way to the city of Jaisalmer. This was an important trading centre for many centuries and presently one of the few forts that are still inhabited. Transfer to the hotel and the rest of the afternoon is free for more discovery of this city. We recommend to visit the Thar Heritage Museum or the Maharaja's Palace for a taste of kingly splendour. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

    Day 6: Jaisalmer

    Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a tour of the golden city of Jaisalmer. Discover the magical Gadisar Lake and the magnificent Golden Fort. Walk through the narrow streets of the city, to visit the famous palatial houses characteristic of the city such as Nathmal and Patwon. In the afternoon, take an excursion to Sam to see the dunes in the beautiful sunset light. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

    Day 7: Jaisalmer - Jodhpur

    Breakfast at the hotel. Continue the trip towards Jodhpur, known as The Blue City and enjoy a visit to the impressive Mehrangarh Fort with its bird’s eye view of the old city. Later continue to Jaswant Thada, an imposing marble cenotaph. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

    Day 8: Jodhpur - Jaipur

    Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer by road to Jaipur. Arrive at your hotel and the rest of the day is free to start to get to know the Rose-Pink City of India. We recommend a wander through some of the markets in the area to see the unique handicrafts and jewellery on offer. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

    Day 9: Jaipur

    Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Amber Fort - The Old Capital of Thunder. En-route, take a brief photo stop at Hawa Mahal, The Palace of Winds. Arrive at Amber Fort by Jeep. Once inside, visit the Jag Mandir or the Hall of Victory. In the afternoon, take a city tour, beginning with a visit to the Maharaja’s City Palace. Later, visit The Jantar Mantar, the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

    Day 10: Jaipur - Fathepur Sikri - Agra

    Breakfast at the hotel. Set off towards Agra, and on the way, visit Fatehpur Sikri, an impressive ghost town, where the tomb of Salim Chisti, the Panch Mahal, is located. Arrive in Agra, capital of sultans and great Mughal emperors. Enjoy an unforgettable tour of the famous and spectacular Taj Mahal - one of The Seven Modern Wonders of the World. Overnight stay in Agra.

    Day 11: Agra - Delhi

    Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, return by road to Delhi and once you have arrived, visit the Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Afterwards, transfer to the Gateway of India, the residence of the country's president, and visit the impressive Humayun's Tomb, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1993. Overnight stay in Delhi.

    Day 12: Delhi

    Breakfast at the hotel. The rest of the day free to visit this fascinating city. We recommend an optional excursion to discover Delhi's most iconic temples.* Overnight stay in Delhi. * Optional Full-Day Delhi Temples Tour: Explore Delhi's most iconic temples. Experience the peace and tranquillity of the Lotus Temple, dedicated to the Baha'i faith, and discover the extraordinary architecture of Akshardham Temple, dedicated to 10,000 years of Hindu culture. See the huge Jama Mosque and the downtown Sikh Temple with its golden dome before ending the tour at Lakshmi Narayan Temple, dedicated to the Hindu god, Vishnu. Note: The Lotus Temple & The De Akshardham Temple are closed on Monday. For all the departures on Thursday will not be able to do the Full-day Delhi Temples tour.

    Day 13: Delhi - US

    Breakfast * at the hotel. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport for a flight back to the US. Arrive in the US and end your trip. * Depending on the return flight schedule and the hotel breakfast service, you may not be able to enjoy the included breakfast on the last day.
