Our guide Juan Carlos and driver Ronald were excellent. We learned a lot about Costa Rica and saw many beautiful places and amazing animals.

Our guide was excellent. Accommodation varied and generally a good standard. We got a good insight into the country, history, culture, geography, economy. The right balance between travel and doing stuff. A lot of volcanoes, but the clue is in the name of the holiday! We were less keen on the last day - at a lake resort. We don't travel with Explore to do resorts. A day in Managua would have been far preferable, and it wasn't that far away.

A great trip! This was our first time traveling with Explore and all went well. The planning/booking staff were very helpful and promptly answered any questions we had. Juan Carlos, our guide, was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly, and a great representative of the company and his country. Ronald, the driver, provided great support in every aspect and was a safe an courteous driver. Thanks to all for a memorable experience!

Absolutely super - our guide Juan Carlos was a wonderful and kind guide and had the answer for every question, went above and beyond at all times. Same for our amazing driver Ronald who not only got us where we needed to be, he also regularly spotted random sloths, macaws and toucans along the route (and stopped for photos!). The highlights were the hot springs and waterfall in La Fortuna and the amazing wildlife in Manuel Antonio.

The Viva Costa Rica trip was amazing. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made sure everyone had an enjoyable experience. It was a perfect blend of leisure and adventure. Thrill seekers can do the many exciting optional excursions like repelling down waterfalls, white water rafting, surfing, and/or zip lining. Party people can enjoy the catamaran cruise and the many bars/clubs that were in each location. Nature lovers can take in all of Costa Rica's natural beauty wildlife during visits to national parks. Lastly, if you just want to chill out and sit on the beach you have that option too. I chose to try a little bit of everything and will remember the trip for years to come! Pura Vida!
