Ireland Cycling Tour

From the distinctive vistas of Connemarra to the famous Cliffs of Moher to the limestone landscapes of Burren National Park, a guided cycling tour is one of the best ways to experience Ireland.

Day 1, Burren National Park: There’s perhaps no better way to travel through Burren National Park than on a cycling tour - slow down and enjoy the spectacular limestone landscapes, then lunch on lobster at a local restaurant.

Day 2, Cliffs of Moher: Cycle along the coast of Ireland on along Wild Atlantic Way to the famous Cliffs of Moher.

Day 3, Roundstone, Clifden: Your Ireland bike vacation takes you through sleepy Roundstone and along the dramatic coastline to Clifden, where you’ll dine at a delightful fisherman’s pub.

Day 4, Inishbofin: Hop a ferry to Inishbofin, keeping watch on the horizon for dolphins, and take a walk through Bronze and Iron Age ruins with a local archaeologist.

Day 5, Inagh Valley, Killary: Eat a hearty Irish breakfast to power you through another day of your idyllic Ireland guided bike tour, cycling through the Inagh Valley to Killary.

Day 6, Galway, Dublin: Return to Dublin through Galway.

Cycling Tour in France

One of the most quintessential guided cycling tour destinations, France is awash in storybook countryside settings, ancient villages, olive groves and vast vineyards. From the Loire Valley to Provence, Chablis to Burgundy, experience the best of France by bike.

Days 1-2, Burgundy: Set off on your guided bike tour of Burgundy, stopping in one of France’s designated Most Beautiful Villages: Noyers. From here, cycle along serene rivers, through lush farmland and into charming towns, such as Vezelay, with its World Heritage Benedictine abbey. Every turn in the road brings another jaw-dropping vista.

Days 3-4, Burgundy: Your cycle tour continues along the Burgundy Canal, through one fairytale village to the next. Learn winemaking history and traditions at a medieval chateau, explore Beaune and, of course, end a day of cycling in France with tastings of extraordinary Burgundy wines.

Days 5-6, Burgundy: Round out your Burgundy cycling vacation along the Route des Grande Crus to Gevrey-Chambertin and Chassagne-Montrachet. Take private tours of medieval ruins and sample the region’s superb wine and cuisine.

Cycling Tour in Southeast Asia

With its melting pot of cultures, lush landscapes, relatively flat terrain, friendly people and incredible heritage, Southeast Asia is a rewarding destination for a first-time guided cycling tour.

Day 1, London: Depart London with your new guided cycle tour friends.

Day 2, Bangkok: Get to know your fellow bikers for your tour of Southeast Asia.

Day 3, Ayutthaya: Warm up your legs on a trail through the old kingdom of Ayuttaya, learning about the age-old tradition of knife-making in Aranyik village.

Day 4, Sa Keaw: Your guide leads you through rural Thai landscapes by bike, past rubber and eucalyptus plantations and rice fields.

Day 5, Aranyaprathet: Your cycle tour continues towards Tha Krabak, stopping for a swim along the way, and getting closer to the Cambodian border.

Day 6, Into Cambodia and Siem Reap: After driving to Siem Reap, you’ll cycle past Wat Athvea, a modern temple amidst the ruins of an Angkorian temple, and picnic at a market outside Siem Reap.

Days 7-8, Angkor: Get an early start with the other bikers on your Southeast Asia cycling vacation and have more time to explore Angkor and its many temples, including Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, the Bayon and Banteay Srei. Viewing Angkor by bike gives you a unique, close-up perspective. Cycle outside the main Angkor complex on the second day to Banteay Srei, built in the 10th century.

Day 9, Phnom Penh: Transfer to Phnom Penh, preparing your legs for the next stage of your Southeast Asia biking tour. Stop in Sambor Prei Kuk, enjoy a traditional Khmer lunch and stop in Skuon, known for its local delicacy of fried spiders!

Day 10, Sightseeing Around Phnom Penh: Visit the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and sobering Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the Killing Fields.

Day 11, Transfer to Takeo, Vietnam, Chau Doc: Ride the quiet road to the Phnom Den/Tinh Bien border, then on to Chau Pho.

Day 12, Mekong Delta: Cycle to Mekong Delta along a lovely, quiet back road, making your way through small villages and finally arriving at Vietnam’s “rice bowl.”

Day 13, Transfer to Cai Be, Mekong, Saigon: Visi the floating Cai Be market, then start your bike ride toward Cai Lay along the Mekong riverbank. Then travel by bus to Saigon.

Day 14, Saigon: Enjoy a free day in Saigon, resting your bike-weary legs, shopping, sightseeing and relaxing. Highlights include the Saigon River, Ben Thanh Market, Reunification Palace and Notre Dame Cathedral.

Day 15: Fly to London and return home.
