Hells Canyon Rafting, Snake River Idaho

Hells Canyon Rafting on the Snake River in Idaho straddles the borders of Idaho and Oregon and is the deepest river gorge in North America. According to Nez Perce tribal legend the mythical figure "coyote" dug Hells Canyon with a big stick to protect the tribe's ancestors in the Blue Mountains of Oregon from the "Seven Devils" across the gorge in Idaho.

• Demonstrate mastery: As the course nears the end, take on more leadership and decision-making responsibilities. Work together to apply new skills and achieve team goals during this final phase of the expedition.

• Sail aboard the comfortable 62-passenger expedition ships National Geographic Sea Bird or National Geographic Sea Lion-equipped with motorized landing crafts and sea kayaks.
• The expedition will feature sessions for both photographers and videographers.
• Hike through lush forest trails to cascading waterfalls, and take a motorized landing craft into sheltered coves where brown bears feed.
