Over a period of 50 years Johan has worked and visited the top safari countries, destinations and areas in Southern Africa on a permanent basis. These countries offer the most diverse habitats, wildlife and the best opportunities to come back to your roots, really get close to unspoilt nature.
These countries are namely, Botswana, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. In these mentioned countries he has mainly worked in National Parks, Game Reserves, Game Management Areas [GMA’s] Nature Reserves, The Big Rivers of Southern Africa namely, the mighty Zambezi River, Chobe River, Okavango River, Gariep River, the Tugela River and various other rivers, too many to mention.
In these unspoilt wildlife areas he has conducted Walking Trails, Canoe Safaris, Photographic, Birding, Wildlife Safaris, Explorer Expeditions to “Off the Beaten Track” places like Liuwa Plains in Zambia and Gorongosa in Mozambique.
Johan really enjoys these parts of Africa as, if you know where to go, avoid the general tourist volumes, where one can enjoy Africa at your leisure without a rush. Here he can spend anything from one minute to two hours viewing nature, wildlife are the players in this amazing theatre, this is one of the main reasons to introduce people to Africa as he knows it.
In the famous saying: “If you visit two countries in your lifetime, visit Africa twice” “If you drink from the rivers of Africa, you will always return to Africa”
This is his ultimate goal, to introduce this special Africa to the world out there.
