What's this trip about?

From elephants to gibbons to sea turtles, help protect Thai wildlife learning directly from local experts about the threats and efforts in place to conserve the region’s wildlife. Lend a hand protecting these animals and leave your mark on the important work taking place in Thailand. Explore the thick jungle and photogenic coast of southern Thailand, and witness up-close the spectacular wildlife that the region is known for. Bathe elephants in their natural habitat, help conservationists at a sea turtle project, and learn from a center dedicated to introducing gibbons back into nature. When you’re not spending time with wildlife, island hop across the crystal blue waters that make Thailand unforgettable. Our journey is based in Phuket, a large island in southern Thailand surrounded by 32 smaller ones. The region is characterized by its beautiful natural landscapes and turquoise waters. You’ll navigate the thick rainforest on a bamboo raft, riding along Kiang Koo Creek and stopping off to swim at picturesque waterfalls on the way; on the coast, boat trips will take you past paradisiacal deserted islands and the strange rock formations of Phang Nga Bay. You’ll also get the chance to explore Phuket Town, where Chinese and Portuguese architecture illustrates the island’s colonial past, today housing art galleries and trendy cafés.

While our trips only last a week or two, we strive for a long-term impact by partnering with organizations that have ongoing relationships with the communities where we volunteer. This allows each of our volunteer groups to become a link in the chain of our partner’s ongoing work.

We are a certified B Corporation, which means we have passed a rigorous independent audit of our social, environmental, and legal practices. B Corporations (or Benefit Corporations) are recognized by the State of California as providing a social good.
