Discover Kathmandu Valley

Day 1: Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our representative. Head on to Gokarna Forest Resort where you will be briefed on the trip itinerary. Transfer to hotel: about 20-30 min Day 2: After breakfast, you will start the day on a guided tour to three sites listed by UNESCO as world heritage.  Pashupatinath: one of the most sacred temples of South Asia dedicated to Lord Shiva and its crematory site. Then, Bodanath stupa: one of the sanctuaries of major importance in Buddhism where you could meet Tibetan refugees and numerous monasteries. Bhaktapur: the city is known for its sophisticated art, craft and colourful festivals and its particular lifestyle.  Transfer to Nagarkot, a village located 32 km east of Kathmandu at an altitude of 2,195m, which offers a splendid panoramic view of Kathmandu Valley and the Himalayas. Day 3: In the morning, you’ll be struck by the beautiful sunrise view of the Himalayan range. Then, head on to sites listed as UNESCO world heritage. Swayambhunath: this 2500 year old stupa is situated on a hill overlooking Kathmandu valley. It holds a high religious value for the Buddhists. Next stop: Kathmandu Durbar Square: situated in the heart of the city, Kathmandu’s old town is formed by palaces of the Malla and Shah Kings as well as numerous temples, the most famous of which is that of the living goddess Kumari Bahal. ​The day concludes with a visit to the ancient city of Patan, also known as Lalitpur, which means 'city of fine arts. ' Day 4: Take your time walking around Durbar Marg, a beautiful avenue that leads to the Narayanhity Palace Museum. In Thamel, you can purchase some local souvenirs and find all kinds of facilities and lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. Mountain flight: the best way to see the Himalayas for those travellers who have limited time in Nepal. This could be an unforgettable experience for you to witness a breath-taking panoramic view of the highest mountains in the world! Day 5: Transfer to the international airport for your flight back.
