Itinerary

Days 1: Tour starts in Tbilisi
The tour starts today in Georgia's atmospheric capital. As the suggested group flights do not arrive until late in the day, no organised sightseeing has been included today, but if you are here early, the old town makes a great place for a wander.

Day 2: Tbilisi
We'll have the whole day to explore Tbilisi from its churches, synagogues, mosques, fortresses & baths to its shops, cafes and quiet streets.

Day 3: Tbilisi- Davit Gareja - Telavi
Day 3: Leaving the capital we head east to wander the ruins of a 6th century desert monastery complex and sample some local wine.

Days 4: Telavi
We will visit the New Shuamta Nunnery before crossing the Gombori Pass making our way to Kazbegi.

Day 5:

Kazbegi
With a morning walk to visit the iconic Gergeti Church, we'll spend the afternoon driving through the dramatic Dariali Gorge.

Day 6: Kazbegi - Mtskheta - Gori
Descending from the mountains, we visit the centre of the Georgian Orthdox Church at Mtskheta before making for the birthplace of Stalin, Gori, home to the Stalin Museum - unchanged since the days of the USSR .

Day 7: Gori - Vardzia
In the morning we will drive to Akhaltsikhe where we visit the beautiful citadel of Rabat.We will continue our journey to Vardzia, via the Khertvisi Fortress.

Days 8-9: Vardzia
Our fascinating final full day in Georgia sees us drive to Vardzia and its caves and then along a scenic road to Lake Paravani before returning for our last night in Tbilisi.

Day 9: Tbilisi
The tour ends this morning in Tbilisi.

,Kopala Hotel, Tbilisi Perched above the river looking out over Tbilis's old city is the four star Hotel Kopala, comprising an older building and newer part, many of the rooms have great city views. Despite its age the hotel has been furnished with modern conveniences and the rooms are bright and spacious. Guests can enjoy panoramic views across the city from the rooftop terrace bar and restaurant which serves a variety of elegantly prepared local and international dishes.
Cancellation policy
Cancellation By You: Should you or any member of your party need to cancel your holiday once it has been confirmed, the party leader must immediately advise us in writing.  Your notice of cancellation will only be effective when it is received in writing by us at our offices.  As we incur costs from the time we confirm your booking, the following cancellation charges will be payable.  Where the cancellation charge is shown as a percentage, this is calculated on the basis of the total cost payable by the person(s) cancelling excluding amendment charges.  Amendment charges are not refundable in the event of cancellation. Period before departure within which written as per the Cancellation charge Notification of cancellation is received by us person cancelling 60 days or more prior to departure is Loss of Deposit 59-46 days before departure is 30% of tour cost 45-28 days before departure is 60% of tour cost Less than 28 days is 100% of tour cost Depending on the reason for cancellation, you may be able to reclaim these cancellation charges (less any applicable excess) under the terms of your insurance policy.  Claims must be made directly to the insurance company concerned. On private bookings where any cancellation reduces the number of full paying party members below the number on which the price, number of free places and/ or any concessions agreed for your booking were based, we will recalculate these items and re-invoice you accordingly. See clause 9 “Changes by you” if any member(s) of your party are prevented from travelling.
