Requirements
These adventure tours visit remote areas of the world where facilities are often basic. These adventure tours will often involve long journeys and rough roads. Sightseeing and optional day walks are often included and these days may involve up to 5 hours of physical activity. To enjoy these adventures we suggest you are reasonably fit, healthy, have a moderately active lifestyle and have a positive attitude. The fitter you are for your trip, the more of a holiday it will be. The gorilla tracking will sometimes be quite strenuous and will involve following trails beaten through the forests. These trails are often wet, steep and slippery. * Suggested preparation: Two or three times a week, we recommend you walk on undulating terrain for an hour or more, for at least 3 months prior to departure. Specialist gear required include walking boots and day pack (a comprehensive gear list is provided in the pre-departure information provided on booking).,
Travel Insurance
We require that you take out a personal travel insurance policy to cover against sickness, accident, loss of baggage, unexpected alterations to travel arrangements and travel disruption, emergency evacuation, cancellations, etc. A suggested policy is enclosed with these notes. If you take out an alternative policy, we need to be advised of the details. It is your responsibility to ensure any and all pre-existing medical conditions are adequately covered by your insurer. Please note: if you choose credit card cover, in our experience, this may not insure against high cost needs. For example; helicopter emergency evacuation. If you do decide to choose credit card coverage, please check all policy details thoroughly. You should always carry your travel insurance policy, emergency card and photocopies of your passport and cash cards with you during your trip.

Non-exclusive trip, operated by Speke, they call it "UBORA Best of Uganda Fixed Departure". You must quote "UBORA" when requesting this tour. COLLECT USD 1420 PP ADDITIONAL DEPOSIT AT TIME OF BOOKING + COPY OF FRONT PAGE OF PASSPORT ... NO PSSPT, NO PERMIT Speke Uganda need copy of passport to purchase gorilla and chimp permits COMPULSORY SINGLE SUPPLEMENT PAYABLE DAY 10 (final day) - Do not book departure flight before 18:00 (6:00pm). - THE MINIMUM AGE LIMIT FOR ALL TREKS TO ALL PRIMATES (INCLUDING TO THE GORILLAS) IS STRICTLY 15 YEARS - GUESTS / TREKKERS HAVE TO TURN 15 LATEST THE DAY OF THE TREK, AND THIS RULE IS UNFORTUNATELY "WRITTEN IN ROCK"! This is because children have 'stronger' germs, even if they are not feeling sick themselves - potentially lethal to Gorillas who dont have any resistance to such germs (Common colds and minor infections in lungs and breathing systems are today the biggest killers of Gorillas)
