This independent mini-tour takes you from Auckland to see the beautiful Bay of Islands. Choose from excursions including the famous Hole in the Rock cruise and a Dolphin Encounter, and also spend some free time relaxing in this beautiful region.

Itinerary: Bay of Islands Explorer

Day 1: Auckland - Bay Of Islands

Accommodation: Hotel for 2 nights: Standard - Scenic Bay of Islands

Superior Room; Superior - Copthorne Bay of Islands; Superior Seaview room

Depart Auckland at 7.30am and travel over the Auckland Harbour Bridge and north through the northern suburbs before reaching the beautiful beaches of the Hibiscus Coast and the beautiful Bay of Islands. Arriving around midday, the rest of the afternoon is free to explore this delightful area. Recommended is a ferry ride to Russell and a visit to New Zealand’s Treaty House where the Maori and representatives to the Queen signed the infamous Waitangi Treaty in 1840.

Day 2: Bay Of Islands

Today you have the choice to view the Bay of Islands from the water or visit Cape Reinga, New Zealand’s most northern point where the Pacific Ocean and Tasman Seas crash together. You may choose from either a Cape Reinga Day Tour, Cape Brett Hole in the Rock Cruise, Dolphin Adventure or the historic and more leisurely Cream Trip cruise.

Day 3: Bay Of Islands

Today is free to explore the Bay of Islands.

Day 4: Bay Of Islands - Auckland

This morning board the coach for the journey back to Auckland arriving between 5.30pm & 8pm.
