As you recommended, I spoke with Faith and she is having Rod pick us up by 8.30am this morning. We will leave immediately. If we can get on the helicopter as early as possible we could return so much earlier. If possible do put in a word at the helipad, after 9am, as you said, and we will be on our way there. Thank you."

Milford Sound Tour Selection Trips

  • Milford Sound is best experienced with a full day. Plan enough time to enjoy the majestic natural landscape, which Rudyard Kipling once called the "eigth Wonder of the World".
  • The town of Milford Sound is very small, and accommodation books up quickly. It can be much easier to incorporate Milford Sound as a day trip from Queenstown.
  • The boat trip is generally very smooth - most will not get seasick. But if you're particularly sensitive to being on the water, plan any precautions you deem necessary. Snacking on crysalized ginger is a good trick.
