What travelers are saying

"This tour has amazing sites, good hotels in great locations, great pace BUT the tour director that was assigned to be with our small group added nothing to the experience. He did not give us any info, tell us about what we were seeing, give us any info at all. The only time he talked was to tell us when the next bathroom break would be. Apparently this is common for Globus to use retirees starting another chapter. Our guide was 76 and had no energy. Travel with Gate 1 or Intreped.... guides can make or break a tour."

What travelers are saying

"It's hard to describe how lucky we are to have been able to work with Stephanie in planning our honeymoon to Japan. From the very beginning, Stephanie was friendly, flexible, and an absolute wealth of knowledge. We had several meetings with her leading up to our trip to come up with the perfect itinerary. Throughout this, Stephanie was mindful of our budget, without sacrificing anything. During our trip, Audley was available at all hours to help with anything and everything which was such a relief to know we had that resource available to us. I truly cannot imagine having planned this trip without all of Stephanie's guidance and knowledge- and cannot imagine taking another big trip like this without the help of Audley. Thank you again!"

What travelers are saying

"Because I have Stage 4 cancer, I chose to spend the extra money for trip insurance in case my cancer recurred. When a scan showed that it had, I cancelled my trip. I sent to them the medical documents from the Mayo Clinic confirming my new diagnosis. They sent me an email telling me my oncologist needed to fill in a form. I asked my oncologist to do that and I submitted it by fax on April 6th. When I didn’t hear anything, I sent them more medical documentation and asked them to please push forward my refund as I have travel expenses from a clinical trial coming up. Several days later I received an email that they needed further documentation from my doctor. How much more documentation do you need than the patient has stage 4 metastatic cancer and is starting a clinical trial??? This is heartless to me. Please don’t plan to travel through Road Scholar if you’re medically vulnerable!!"

What to Expect from a Music Tour

Music tour packages can scale from educational and enriching to a fun-filled music festival somewhere around the world. When looking for a music-themed-tour, there are some things you need to take into account when searching for your perfect trip.

So what should you expect from a music tour?

Firstly, expect to appreciate where it all began. Whether it's the history of classical music or the invention of the ukulele, you will gain a deep understanding and appreciation of how these past ideas became future assets to the music world.

A music-themed tour is a great way to create connections. Everyone listens to music, meet the ones who have a similar rhythm. You're bound to create friendships that will be unforgettable.

Another thing to expect is to be in a good mood for the duration of the tour. According to science, music improves and elevates your state of mind!

Also, be prepared to learn something new. Maybe you'll find your next favorite composer or see legendary music venues you've only dreamt about. Your tour operator will create the perfect harmony of music, education, and history all while hitting the high note!

Choosing a Music Themed Tour

Firstly, research what kind of music theme interests you. This can range anywhere from discovering unique musical instruments, artists you want to learn more of, or even visiting historical venues. The type of tour you choose will make a drastic difference in how your trip will go.

Additionally, contact your tour guide to confirm what type of experience may be expected for the trip. Will you be outdoors for the majority of the time for a festival? Or will you be inside most of the time visiting museums? Check to make sure you have the option to experience at least a few different ways to immersive yourself in your musically inclined trip.

On any musical themed travel package, there are sure to be plenty of other related activities to help you get to know your surroundings (you'd be surprised at how much music can impact a place). Most tours allow you to have some free time to explore the country and absorb all it has to offer.
