Then enjoy a private tasting at the acclaimed Gevrey-Chambertin.

In Dijon this morning, stroll the market with a walking tour that includes the Ducal Palace and mustard shop. Back on board the barge, cruise to St-Jean-de-Losne, the barge capital of France, where there is time to explore the bustling port before dinner.

Linger over breakfast and relish the beauty of Burgundy as you cruise the majestic Saône River. From the mooring at Fragnes, visit Chalon-sur-Saône with its magnificent cathedral square and timber-framed buildings. Continue to Château de Pommard for an exclusive wine tasting before returning to the barge.

Enjoy the gentle pace of the Canal du Centre today. Lunch is ashore at the Michelin-starred Le Montrachet. Continue to Beaune to visit Hôtel-Dieu, a medieval charity hospital. Then enjoy a wine tasting at the vast cellars of Joseph Drouhin.

Cruise past the sprawling vineyards of Santenay to the pretty village of St-Léger-sur-Dheune. Visit Château de Rully where the Count of Rully hosts an exclusive tour of his 12th-century castle home. Back on board the barge, the chef busily prepares this evening's farewell dinner.
