What's this trip about?

This varied Botswana safari explores two different areas of the Okavango Delta and one of the drier private concessions further north, in Botswana’s Linyanti region. You will stay a total of 7 nights at three great safari camps: Stanley’s Camp, Shinde and Linyanti Bush Camp. At Stanley’s there is the chance to participate in a magical elephant experience (at extra cost). The bird-watching is excellent in all of these areas, but the trip really focuses more on big game in the wildlife-rich concessions at Shinde and Linyanti Bush Camp, especially during the dry season between about July and October.  This safari can also easily be combined with a visit to Livingstone in Zambia or Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe to see the Victoria Falls.

Fine dining is always on the menu at Stanleys CampYour last 2 nights will be spent at Stanley's Camp in a private concession in the south of the Okavango Delta. Day 8

Accommodation

,Linyanti Ebony Camp Set within the private Chobe Enclave on the edge of the Linyanti Marshes, Linyanti Ebony is a small, intimate camp with comfortable but traditional tented accommodation. Although operated independently, it sits side by side with its slightly larger sibling, Linyanti Bush Camp, and the two can be combined to accommodate larger groups. Both camps benefit from the area's mix of wet and dry terrain, which attracts a variety of wildlife. ***STOP PRESS*** In September 2015 we were advised that due to very low water levels boat activities have been suspended. Mokoros are however still operating. Boat activities should resume later in the year but contact us for more details. Machaba Camp Opened in 2013, Machaba Camp is one of the newest offerings along the Khwai riverfront, looking across to the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp lies to the east of the concession, on the site of the old Machaba Camp: a tranquil, open spot along the river, backed by a sparse forest of sycamore figs, and with plenty of wildlife. Botswana owned and run, it is spacious yet traditional in feel, and very comfortable. Stanley's Camp Stanley's Camp, situated in riverine forest south of the Chitabe Reserve, is an unpretentious camp, with a really rustic 'bush-feel' to it.
