Ferry to Calais and overnight stay in France.
Continue on to our hotel in the Austrian Tyrol where we spend the next five nights.

Christmas Day is a lovely day of leisure and celebration at our hotel, with a traditional Christmas dinner included.
Boxing Day sees us in Rattenberg, Austria’s smallest town. Built in the shadow of Rat Mountain, the town is known for its glass making and abundance of crystal glass shops. Later, we get into the spirit of Austrian life with a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the countryside.
Join our optional excursion to the enchanting city of Salzburg, where we have time to explore some of the sights such as the beautifully-preserved Old Town overlooked by the medieval Hohensalzburg Castle.
Leaving Austria we travel to Italy, stopping en-route in the charming Alpine town of Vipiteno. We continue on to our hotel close to the shores of Lake Garda, our base for the next six nights.
We enjoy a scenic tour around Lake Garda, stopping en-route in two of the beautiful towns along its shores. Malcesine lies on the eastern shores of the lake and offers a charming harbour and historic castle plus cobbled lanes and pretty squares lined with shops, cafés...
Join us for an optional excursion to explore Venice. This unique and enchanting city is made up of waterways, bridges and wonderful piazzas. Famous sights include St Mark’s Square, the Bridge of Sighs and the Doge’s Palace and of course the gondolas that ply their trade up and down the canals.
We spend a few hours in Verona, one of Italy’s oldest cities. As well as palaces, squares and bridges, its most famous monument is a spectacular Roman amphitheatre. Another popular attraction is Juliet’s House, supposedly the location of the famous balcony love scene ...
After our fantastic New Year’s celebrations, we have time to relax and enjoy the spectacular beauty of Lake Garda at leisure.
We head to Sirmione, set on a picturesque peninsula on the southern shore of Lake Garda. The town is beautifully-preserved with a turreted 13th-century castle and Roman ruins. Explore the historic centre with its maze of narrow, cobbled streets full of shops and cafés and plenty of scenic views of the lake.
Travel to our overnight hotel in France.
Continue on to Calais for our return ferry home.
