What's this trip about?

A direct approach to the foot of the world's highest mountain – Mt. Everest A trek designed to get you real close-up to the 'Mother of all Peaks' Mt. Everest, A PEAK THAT RULES OVER ALL THE OTHERS… The Trek to Everest Base Camp is one of the most thrilling and fulfilling adventure that is a dream of every daredevil mountain climber out there. The unyielding beauty, the majestic landscapes and the cold fresh air will make every trekker feel what real nature is. Famous for a wide range of soaring peaks and the heartwarming hospitality of the locals (the Sherpa), the Everest region is among the most popular spots for exploring the wild in Nepal. Lasting about two weeks, the trek to Everest Base Camp is a wholesome package for mountain lovers. You can trek to Everest Base Camp throughout the year but the most favourable time to visit the Everest is from the start of March to mid of May and also from early September to mid of November. The weather is very cold in the winter and the snowfall may make it hard to trek. For the beautiful views of green glens, colourful wild flowers of Rhododendrons adding a contrast of red in the valleys, heart throbbing landscapes, the high peaks and the constant and calm streams, spring season (April and early May) is the best time to hit the trails hereabouts. A 35 minutes flight to the airport of Hillary’s Lukla, starts the journey to the Everest Base Camp. The overhead views from the plane will grant you marvelous sights of the Himalayan range including most of the tranquil snow-capped mountains, verdant hills, calm and clear brooks and many of the natural wonders seen in this region. It is truly a magnificent location to behold from above the clouds which will definitely leave you mesmerised. A slow trek from Lukla takes us towards the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar, alongside the valley of the Dudh Koshi River. Everest Base Camp is still many days of uphill trekking from this point but with some steady pace, and with careful acclimatization, you will eventually reach the heights of the Khumbu region. As you enter the vast wilderness, the breathtaking sights of Nuptse, Lhotse and Khumbutse peaks appear before you…it’s a wonderful feeling you are unlikely to forget for a long time…Travel Maker South Asia will escort you throughout this trailblazing odyssey.
