IT’S A TRU-STORY!

From the humble beginnings, to where we are now, it‘s been an epic journey. We aim to keep our Vision and Manifesto at the heart of our business – simply put, we are passionate about what we do!

BACK IN 2012…

In the beginning…

TruTravels was founded in 2012 by Joe Fallon and Mark Pope after they decided that life was not about being stuck in the rat race and working boring jobs, just to pay for getting to & from work! They had “lived the dream” before, travelling and working in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Europe for several years and felt that there had to be more to life then getting the tube into a gloomy office every day.

After a meeting in a pub in London they decided to change their realities and start doing what they wanted to do instead of what society said they should do. The plan was to create a lifestyle centred around showing people the time of their lives in paradise. Providing life changing experiences for backpackers by backpackers. TruTravels tours were designed to take all of the hassle out of travelling to new places but at the same time give spontanious group travel experiences and prepare TruTravellers for their own solo journeys into the unknown.

The Tru-Crew today IN 2015…

Where we are now…

Three years later TruTravels has shown hundreds of young adults the time of their lives in Thailand and has grown from running one awesome tour in Thailand to running six in three countries (with more on the way).

We have also opened an office and travel shop on our island home of Koh Phangan and started our own blog and youtube channel (subscribe here).

Our beloved TruTravellers are helping us to turn our own dreams into a reality (check out our reviews online if you want to see some of the feedback for yourself)!

OUR VISION AND MANIFESTO

“To give you, our customer, the experience of a lifetime whilst educating you about your destination, advising you on the safest ways to travel and enabling you to make the most of your time away.

We do this by offering support before, during and after the tour to make you feel as comfortable as possible when travelling in an unfamiliar country and giving a unique travel experience which feels like travelling with friends rather than on a conventional tour.

All of the team are a family who love travel and to share our experiences with others, we enjoy what we do and this rubs off on the groups who also become part of the family and hopefully share with us some of the best times of their lives.”
