Itinerary
Bienvenue a Paris! On arrival in Paris make your way to your joining hotel where you can check in from mid afternoon. There will be a welcome briefing at the hotel in the late afternoon when you meet your guide, receive your bike, maps and route description. The evening is free to explore the city known as La Ville Lumiere, "The City of Light."

Starting from Notre Dame, you can follow the Axe Historique from the Louvre and Champs Elysee through the Arc de Triomphe to the new Defense district. After Nanterre, you will come to the islands and parks so dear to the Impressionists, a place to be in 'plein air' between the Seine and the Marne. This is the Promenade Bleue. Elevation +160m/525ft

From Newhaven, take the train to Polegate where the cycling commences. Cycling through the Cuckoo Valley and along the old railway line, you will come to Heathfield. From here it gets more difficult but once in Groombridge it will be flat again. Following the Forest Way you arrive to the historic local market town of East Grinstead. Elevation +570m/1870ft

From East Grinstead, take the Worth Way, a cycle path through a wonderful woods to Crawley. From here you take the train to Couldson, where you start cycling through green parks and quite districts to the heart of London. Your finish line for the week will be Westminster. Elevation +320m/1050ft
