    • Internal flights Trelew/Ushuaia, Ushuaia/Calafate, Punta Arenas/Puerto Montt and Bariloche/Buenos Aires (the domestic flights in Patagonia will be quoted separately as they can often change considerably and depend on the international airline that you fly with to South America. Certain airlines flying to South America offer special discounted fares for domestic flights if booked in conjunction with the international ticket. Domestic flights have become increasingly expensive, and rather than charge everyone a set amount, our intention is to find you the best possible domestic flight deal in conjunction with your international ticket. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more details and a flight quote).

Accommodation

17 nights hotel/lodge,
Requirements
There is a mixture of activities on this trip including sightseeing in the cities, day walks, the Beagle Channel & Lake cruises. The trip involves walking through undulating country for up to six or seven hours a day at a steady pace. To undertake this level of walk you will need a good level of trekking fitness. As a minimum, we recommend 45 minutes of aerobic type exercise, three to five times a week for three months leading up to your trip. We therefore advise that any physical training you complete before undertaking the trip will be to good effect. Although most of our day walks are optional there is no shortage of advantages of packing as much into your time in Patagonia as possible. The fitter you are the more this will enhance your experience. Specialist gear required includes walking boots and day pack (a comprehensive gear list is provided in the pre-departure information provided on booking).,
Travel Insurance
We require that you take out a personal travel insurance policy to cover against sickness, accident, loss of baggage, unexpected alterations to travel arrangements and travel disruption, emergency evacuation, cancellations, etc. A suggested policy is enclosed with these notes. If you take out an alternative policy, we need to be advised of the details. It is your responsibility to ensure any and all pre-existing medical conditions are adequately covered by your insurer. Please note: if you choose credit card cover, in our experience, this may not insure against high cost needs. For example; helicopter emergency evacuation. If you do decide to choose credit card coverage, please check all policy details thoroughly. You should always carry your travel insurance policy, emergency card and photocopies of your passport and cash cards with you during your trip.
