Day 1 Arrive Delhi.

Upon arrival at Delhi airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel and your leader will brief the group on the trip. The rest of the day is free to adjust to the sights, sounds and smells of India.

Day 2 Train to Jaipur.

We transfer to New Delhi station to board the early morning Express train to Jaipur. The train takes five hours, reaching Jaipur by lunchtime, giving us the afternoon to wander the city. The famed "Pink City" of Jaipur is the capital of the state of Rajasthan, and was founded in the early 18th century by Maharajah Jai Singh, who moved from Amber to this new site on the plains.

Day 3 In Jaipur

Today is a full day to explore further the city of Jaipur. We visit the City Palace and the Jantar Mantar - the remarkable observatory reflecting Jai Singh's passion for astronomy. There is also the Old City with its bazaars and the Hawa Mahal - the Palace of the Wind...

Day 6 Cycle to Rajgarh. Drive to Bharatpur (cycling distance : 38km)

We ride through a number of small villages to Rajgarh where we stop for a packed lunch. After lunch we continue cycling another 15km before boarding the bus for the journey to Bharatpur via Mahua. Overnight: Kadam Kunj Resort. Cycling distance: 38km

Day 7 Bharatpur to Fatehpur Sikri and Agra (cycling distance: 28km)

Today we begin cycling early to Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Our bikes provide a wonderful mode of transport to move around and explore the park, where swamplands provide habitats for hundreds of bird species. We will then travel with our vehicle to Fatehpur Sikri, to explore Akbar's deserted capital, before continuing on to Agra. Overnight: Man Singh Palace Cycling distance: 28km

These trips involve trekking, walking, cycling, rafting or sea kayaking for up to five or six hours a day at a slow but steady pace and should never be misinterpreted to mean they are easy trips. These trips do not spend time at altitudes above 4000m and are usually a week in duration.You will need a reasonable level of fitness and good health. * Suggested preparation: 30 minutes of aerobic type exercise, (either cycling or jogging) three times a week for three months leading up to your trip.For trekking, hill walking with a daypack in variable weather conditions is also recommended.For a cycling adventure, road cycling twice a week for three months prior to departure is recommended. Specialist gear required include walking boots and day pack (a comprehensive gear list is provided in the pre-departure information provided on booking).,

Date override data for 2012 was Every Saturday from October to March, dates loaded Taj Mahal Restoration Works: An update has been issued by the Indian Government stating (FEB 2018): Work on the northern Arch of the Taj Mahal has been completed. Work on the portion of the Western facade has also been completed and dismantling shifting of scaffolding is in process. Work on the four minarets and roof top is likely to be completed by end March 2018. Work on the periphery of the main mausoleum is expected to be undertaken from February to April 2018. Work on the main dome will be undertaken from April to November 2018.
