• Kayak the freshwater Wambaw Creek to learn about the acidic plant tannins that have turned the water black over time
• Learn the human and natural history of Charleston while kayaking the harbor and hear tales of the city in Colonial times as you glimpse the beautiful gardens of 18th-century homes

• Visit the campuses of the United States Military Academy and the United States Naval Academy
• Experience the newly opened Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia

• On a visit to the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum attend an expert led lecture, enjoy the Japanese Gardens & have lunch at the Carter Center
• Visit award winning exhibitions, museums, the historic Swan Mansion and gardens on the unique campus at the Atlanta History Center which houses one of the largest collections of Civil War artifacts in the US

• As outdoor enthusiasts know, some days can bring new variables — the weather, the terrain, my energy level — so I enjoy the flexibility of choosing from multiple options of length, challenges and pace

• Whether walking through historic neighborhoods at a moderate pace or out and about on a coach, I prefer to keep my days full
• Stairs don’t bother me, and I love to keep up with the group
