Two Canadian Provinces in One Bike Trip Ride from Canada’s beautiful Capital City of Ottawa to French-speaking Québec’s vibrant city of Montréal. This unique vacation features delightful bike paths, country roads, and a collection of premiere lodgings. Enjoy a fascinating blend of history, culture, and cycling on this Ottawa to Montreal bike trip. Ottawa is considered the third cleanest city in the world – perhaps in part because of the more than 110 miles of delightful bike paths that run through it. The city rolls out its best on Sundays when beautiful parkways are open only to bicycles and inline skaters (this is Canada after all!). Spin through the traffic-free streets, visit Parliament Hill, explore lively Byward Market, or cross the sapphire blue Ottawa River to ride the popular Gatineau Park road bike loop – free of vehicular traffic on this Canada bike tour. As you wind your way east, the scenery along the Ottawa River quickly transforms to country roads and open farm fields sprinkled with sheep and dairy farms. An exclusive two-night stay at the Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello, a historic hand hewn log lodge, offers luxurious relaxation in a peaceful country atmosphere. Follow bike paths along the Ottawa and St. Lawrence Rivers into Montreal, one of the world’s top cities for cycling with over 300 miles of bike paths. Enjoy a guided walking tour on Old Montreal’s cobblestone streets then explore the boutiques outside the St-Sulpice Hotel nestled deep within this historic neighborhood. You may also be interested in a ride up Mt Royal, which features fabulous views of the city and surrounding waterways.
